Cappadocia travel tips
- Book the balloon flight for early in your stay, so there is time to rebook if weather cancels it.
- Even without a flight, get up for sunrise — the balloons can be seen from hotel terraces and viewpoints above Göreme.
- Stay at least two nights to combine a balloon flight, a valley hike and an underground city.
- Pack layers: desert nights are cold even in summer, especially at pre-dawn balloon launches.
