Anho Chew Hotel

Liked: I really liked the arrangement of the beds and the spacious area in the backpacker room. The room was also very clean and comfortable.

Disliked: Unfortunately, the showers are clogged, so the water spreads all over the bathroom floor. It would also be nice to have a common area where guests could hang out, although I understand that this is more of a hotel than a traditional hostel.

This hotel is just across the road from the train station. The inside room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. No issues at all. Highly recommended

As soon as we entered the room there was a hair on the vanity to the left... then when we walked further in the floor felt gritty like sand. I accidentally lifted the bedsheet and it hung down covering the floor by the bed — oh my god, it was filthy... The shower head in the bathroom, as other reviews said, is really old and scratchy. Then, after their front desk closed at 11 pm, our toilet flush button stopped working! We opened the tank lid and fiddled with it for ages but nothing changed. We ended up taking the trash bag off the toilet, setting it aside, carrying water from the bathtub in the waste bin and pouring it into the toilet to flush, repeating that several times. The next day at checkout I told the front desk clerk and she said, "Oh, you need to press harder! If you press harder it will work!" The problem was we did press hard and it still didn’t work. And her answer implied she knew this happened before (I’ve seen other reviews mention it). I was dumbfounded — it was our first stay and we had to fetch water just to flush the toilet! Her reaction made it clear the hotel is aware of this issue but hasn’t fixed it. The dirt was bad enough, and the pillows were yellow... this isn’t a very cheap place, so it was really a terrible stay!!!

(A child played with marbles and they rolled under the bed.) When we lifted the bed, the entire area under it was full of trash. (There were plastic bottles, tissues, and even a slipper?) Only a few TV channels were Taiwanese; the rest were channels from mainland China. The front desk staff’s attitude was indeed very good. But the quality of this stay was really not great… I hope it can be improved…

Surprise but parking space isn’t free but need to pay separately

TT unfortunately,KTV next to the hotel, noisy all night

Love the place near at the Loudong Night market

- Excellent location: convenient transportation and close to nearby attractions and food — all within a 10-minute walk. - Every morning there’s a traditional breakfast (potstickers, meat buns, and scallion-egg crepes with sauce) and drinks to enjoy before heading out. - Peaceful despite being in a busy area — stayed 12 days with virtually no noise issues; very sensitive guests can pick up free earplugs at the front desk. - The bed and pillows are just right and very comfortable. - If the bottled water in the fridge runs out, there are two water dispensers by the front desk for self-service; there are also plenty of late-night food options and convenience stores nearby. - The front desk staff and housekeeping are very polite and gentle, and they handle questions and requests thoughtfully and quickly. ☆Small but well-equipped — excellent value for money and the best choice for a stay!
