Art Lincoln

Liked: At least the room was quiet

Disliked: Disconcerting entry, no staff, too many keys and doors. Not particularly clean or comfortable. Plastic shower curtain over bath. No reception staff. Website says €4 pp for city tax when I know it's€2.

I needed a place to stay overnight after a late flight into Palermo airport. The Art Lincoln is just a short walk from where the bus from the airport terminates at the Palermo central railway station and bus station so was perfectly located for my onward travel the next day. It was easy to find and and there were a number of shops, takeaways and restaurants still open late nearby so I could get something to eat and drink after a late check in. My room was basic and a bit dated but was clean and had a/c there was no window out onto the street but there is one onto the hotel courtyard. This proved to be a blessing as there was no traffic noise from the road and I had a nice quiet night unlike some other places I have stayed. There was a table and chairs outside my room so I could sit in the courtyard. A good buffet breakfast was also provided with a nice selection of options not just coffee and a pastry or hard toast like some other budget options. It was a pleasant experience and good value for money in Palermo. I would definitely stay there again.

Liked: Amazing find, walking distance to everything. I was traveling with my mother and young children so having separate bedrooms at an affordable rate was great. Plus the pretty views and the luxury of a terrace made it extra special and fun for breakfast.
