Arvanitis Cave Village

If you re looking for a peaceful location to relax and explore the most authentic part of Santorini look no further. The room was spotlessly clean, traditional with all the modern amenities. We stayed in a cavehouse, the bed was very comfortable, the living area was very nice and the bathroom was amazing. The kitchenette very practical with a large fridge. The breakfast was served in the room in a basket and included sandwiches, locally sourced eggs, cake, juice and greek strained yoghurt with wallnuts and honey plus the butter and jam. Nespresso machine in the room with several pods and kettle and inductive stovetop for the rest. We saw more rooms and the selection covers from couples to families with children, to couples so best is to contact Mrs Kate to guide you. Congratulations, looking forward to my next stay

It is located in a nice local neighbourhood, on a bit of slope up but easily walkable. Our day tours and boat trips picked us up from the entrance of the road or nearby. It is located very near to the castle of Akrotiri, you should definitely pay a visit. Accommodation has great views from the balcony left and right. the front is another building though. The pool beside is for another room, not usable for us. The only disadvantage is that, the entrance of our unit is from the back of the house which follows uphill uneven stairs road to other houses, the ventilation is on the walkway also so not much of privacy so we normally close the windows of the unit and toilet, and only opened them when we are not around. Breakfast basket was lovely with sandwich, juice, greek yoghurt, biscuit and jams and cut yourself fruit from her garden. Coffee make your own from the room espresso machine. Earliest breakfast was 8:30am. First day we were served breakfast for 2 instead of 3 so I texted the host around 9pm that we won't need many times for the next morning breakfast but just sandwiches for 3 pax since we dont' eat some items. She replied the next morning that breakfast might be a mixed up with another room but still sent all items so yoghurts became a waste unless they made use of it after we left them in the fridge.

Liked: Upon arrival, the staff was very welcoming, and throughout my stay, the host was always available and ready to answer any questions. The room was lovely and charming. A major plus is the breakfast served in your room.

Disliked: You need to park in the street

Liked: Elegantly designed cave apartment with everything what you need for comfortable stay. Everyday they bring you lovely prepared breakfast and host answers always in few minutes. Almost every summer I go to vacation to some Greece island and this was the best experience.

Disliked: Everything was perfect. Beds were too comfortable that we spent more time sleeping than we planned:D

Liked: Beautiful and luxurious. Breakfasts were amazing. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment with sea view. This came with a small pool which was amazing and a godsend to have a quick dip to cool down. We liked the peaceful location of Akrotiri, which was a nice contrast from the busy locations of Oia and Fira. It felt authentic Greek compared to those locations. This accommodation is highly recommended.

Disliked: Nothing - everything was amazing.

Liked: Very unique set up and the caretaker, Katerina was very responsive and helpful. The best breakfast you will get from.

Disliked: The street parking was a challenge.

Liked: It was nice and clean and everything in order.

Disliked: I had all I needed and everything worked properly plus the balcony.
