Avyanna Gulhi Beach Hotel

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms, nice balcony with sea view. The staff is friendly and always helpful during the stay. Convenient pick up from the airport to Gulhi by speedboat ($30/per person/ one way), and then the harbour to/ from the hotel (arranged free of charge). Breakfast is tasty and with enough choices of salty and sweet variants We also tried some restaurants dishes for lunch and the quality of food exceeded our expectations. Towels provided for the beach, and free sun beds / umbrella available at Biking Beach if staying at the hotel (apparently from November there will be some a complimentary cost during high season to rent ) Beautiful sea view from the accessible terrace on the 4th floor All in all, we would highly recommend this hotel.

Disliked: Our room was not extremely spacious for two people but ultimately comfortable. Also pillows comfort can be improved

Liked: Gulhi is a small, mostly locals' island, with a local rhythm. Perfect if you just want to relax. I think Avyanna is one of two hotels, and I would definitely stay there again.... if I wanted to just relax. My room had a lovely view, including sunrise from my bed. All staff were very helpful, and friendly. It's a very short walk to anywhere, including the swimming beach. The transfer to and from the ferry and welcome drink were nice touches.

Disliked: There's a lot of building going on across the Maldives, so I don't think you can avoid it if you're interested in downfall time on the smaller, non resort islands. But that's no reflection on the hotel.

Liked: An absolutely perfect stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything about my stay was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were truly amazing — incredibly kind, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and their hospitality really made the stay even more special. The entire hotel and facilities were beautiful and extremely well maintained. The room was perfect — clean, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully presented. The restaurant and food were also excellent, and the breakfast was delicious with a great selection. The location was perfect as well, making it very convenient while still giving the hotel a relaxing atmosphere. Honestly, everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The staff deserve a special mention because their warmth and hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an amazing stay!

Having stayed at other small island hotels, I found this one rather average by comparison. I thought it would be cleaner since it seemed new, but I found a lot of dust on the floors (in the Maldives you usually go barefoot indoors; at my previous hotel my feet were clean walking around). There was also a strong new-construction smell. The tap water was very salty when showering, and brushing my teeth felt like using seawater. The only plus was that the restaurant had a wider breakfast selection, but overall the stay was mediocre.

Liked: It was very cozy. I d Felt very comfortable staying there. The staff was very helpful. Brendon and Tanjim who works there really looked after. I will definitely go there again.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The room is very clean, the food is better than that on Fulidhoo, the staff is nice.

Disliked: There is a constant noise from outside the window.

Liked: Lovely place. Clean and cosy. I enjoyed the restaurant outside in the evening and inside at breakfast. Near the beach. Lovely staff. Highly recommend.
