B2 Surat Thani Boutique & Budget Hotel

This hotel has been newly renovated and is clean, though not as new as brand-new hotels. The bed is soft. The room amenities and coffee are complete; there’s a hairdryer, but the hot-water tap inside is broken and has stains. There were no tissues in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. The room comfortably fits three people with one large bed and one small bed. The price is very cheap. There’s plenty of secure parking with some covered spots. There are many food options in front of the hotel. It’s a short walk across to the Lamphuok Island park. There’s an event right in front on the riverside under the bridge sometimes, which is convenient — you can just cross the street.

1) I stayed on the 3rd floor and heard frequent knocks on the door. When I looked through the peephole there was never anyone there. 2) There was only a trash can in the bathroom — they should add one inside the room as well. 3) I’m not sure what went wrong, but when I pressed the elevator button to go from the 4th floor down to the 1st, the elevator stopped at the 2nd floor and no floor number lit up. We had pressed for the 1st floor, and although I don’t know if anyone was staying on the 2nd floor, the hallway felt very eerie and there were no lights in the corridor like on the other floors. It was quite scary. 4) The staff weren’t smiling or friendly.

Good place

I don't know, but I feel the facilities aren't worth the price. There's no hair dryer unless you pay extra. The water from the shower head is weak and seems misaligned. I've never stayed anywhere that demanded a 500-baht security deposit upfront. It's not suitable for high school students who come for school-related work — it seems they didn't consider how little money young people might have or whether they'd have enough to get by each day. There were also stains on the sheets. Don't they wash the bedding? Even if they charge for laundry, no hotel would reuse the same sheets. I've stayed in many provinces and always inspect the room thoroughly, but here I had to eat and get to work within an hour. Check-out was at 6:30; by the time I found the money for the fine it was 7:20 and I almost missed it. Can't you contact people afterward? You have all the information — it felt like they were treating me as if I were squatting without paying. The staff's service was so-so. When I stayed in Chumphon the staff were friendlier and more cheerful, and the price was similar. Foreign guests were sitting in the hallway throwing things and no one came to warn them.

Very good accommodation, budget-friendly. The room was clean and the staff were happy to help. There are items/food for sale at the reception on the ground floor. The location is close to food spots and parking is convenient.

No tissue paper in the bedroom. Only 1 small shower gel, 2 shampoo. It is so strange.

The blanket smelled like previous guests — clearly not cleaned. It had body odor (armpit smell) and also a lingering perfume scent. Very bad and dirty.
