Liked: Nice serene environment away from the city

Disliked: Nothing all was amazing

I asked whether there were other Full Deluxe rooms available with a different view because the window of my room looked out at a wall. The staff brusquely said all the rooms had the same view, and when I asked if every room really looked at a wall, only then did they ask if I wanted a different room type. It didn’t make sense to me that they would say all views were the same when I was simply asking to move because my current view was a wall. I told them I didn’t want to spoil the start of my hotel stay over this, and they said they would check and get back to me. I waited in the room standing still in case they could change my room, but after almost 30 minutes with no contact I called the front desk. My call wasn’t answered three times; on the fourth try someone picked up and again said they would check and call me back. Less than 30 seconds later they called to say there were no other rooms. When I asked if it really took 30 minutes to check, they said that around 4 p.m. there are only two staff on duty and they were busy assisting other guests. I was shocked that only two staff were working during peak check-in time. Even if staffing was limited, they should at least have asked me to wait or answered the phone to say they were checking. I had been standing there hoping they might be able to switch my room, but it felt like there was no consideration for the guest at all, which put a bad mood on the first day of my trip.

My wife especially loved it. It was exactly the right place for a relaxing day-long hotel stay. It's too expensive to come often, but if we plan another hotel stay, it will be one of the top places we'd consider.

This is an excellent place to stay with elderly parents. 1) Private pool: For seniors with limited mobility, having a warm pool inside the room is wonderful. 2) The sauna facilities are also great for elderly parents who have difficulty getting around. If mobility is limited, I highly recommend it. Rather than traveling abroad, you can have a very fulfilling trip and make great memories here. It’s not about the distance — what matters is enjoying time together.

Quiet with an old-luxury feel. For the price, amenities are lacking and the facilities feel dated. Maybe because of ongoing construction, cars were parked around and we had to walk between them with kids, which felt unsafe. I’d heard the outdoor pool was nice, but the bright orange parasols from Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance (Hyundai Marine & Fire) downgrade the overall atmosphere. There’s a sand play area near the pool so sand kept getting on our feet; after getting into the pool and the jacuzzi it felt unpleasant. The breakfast restaurant is small, and the convenience store requires taking a bus to reach. I booked the room because it had an in-room jacuzzi, but the water was so hot you can only stay in it for about 30 minutes. The sauna isn’t usable with kids around. We added an extra bed for our family of four, but it was short so the men’s feet stuck out. It doesn’t live up to its former reputation. It would be good for people who really want peace and quiet and to do nothing but relax.

Among the luxury hotels in Seoul, this one is among the most expensive, but I managed to stay here for a night at a great price. It was even better because the Dermalogica set and access to the Oasis for two were included. The hotel is very quiet and clean. The indoor pool was almost empty, which was nice, and the shower facilities connected to the pool were very spacious and pleasant. I used the Oasis after checking out—leaving my luggage with the hotel—and the lockers and shower facilities there were also very roomy and convenient. My memories of Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul are very good. I’d like to stay here again.

Recommended if you want to experience the difference between paying and being a member. Especially the valet parking experience was the worst. I've never heard of being told to go find where my car was parked in the staff parking lot at 10 p.m. when it had been valet parked.
