“Amin Alamri from Oman”

We stayed at this hotel as a family with an infant, and from the very first moment, we were met with a warm welcome. Our room was upgraded to a larger one, and we were even provided with a complimentary breakfast for one day. The level of care shown made us feel truly welcome. My family and I have already agreed that we will stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Istanbul

“Excellent”

We had an issue with the booking and we reached out to agoda and unfortunately they were of no help but we reached out to the hotel and they fixed it for us immediately - very grateful for the staff and reservations team of Barcelo Istanbul. Good hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was good.

“Very good”

Liked: The facility is excellant, Clean and confortable. The check out is a problem, the recepition will tell you have a seat then forget about you. You have to ask. It happened last time and today. Today, I was waiting over 10 min then the concierge asked the reception Mr. Hameed if he can taje our lagguage to the car Mr. Hameed inform him that yes he can take it while we are waiting for his signal to catch our flight. Last time we checked in at approx. 2:00am we have to wait for almost over 30 min and call the receiption for our luggage to be delivered so we can change our cloth and sleep. It migh look minor but for me a big hotel should give attention to this small and minor issues. Thx

Disliked: The faciliy and location

“It's a decent hotel.”

This is a hotel I stayed at again after almost 7 years since my first visit. I had been staying at other hotels in the Istanbul area during that time, but I decided to return here. The location is definitely great, and the breakfast has improved compared to before. It's not as tasty as the kaymak I had at other hotel breakfasts, but if you have breakfast here, definitely try the kaymak. In the past, there was mold in the corners of the shower room, but this time it was somewhat cleaned up. The cost of living in Turkey has increased a lot lately, and restaurant prices in the Taksim area are nearly exorbitant. As for the Barceló hotel, the prices have also increased, so depending on the individual, opinions may vary. However, I think if you take advantage of good prices, the cost performance should be reasonable.
