Liked: The location was in the heart of Acireale main street where the festival of carnival was celebrated on weekends nights, there were many restaurants to choose from and shops offering great deals. The Piazza had free live entertainment at nights. The accommodation was beautiful with the Roman paintings in the dome ceilings, ornate antique furniture, and tall doors and ceilings. The patio was inviting. It was great to have the air conditioning in all room and the main living area, as well as having a washing machine. Parking was a plus. The beds were super comfortable. And the kitchen was fully stocked with all the wares, oven & cook top etc.. Our host greeted us at check-in and showed us around.

Disliked: Nothing.

Beautiful room right in the center. As our room faced a road in the center, it was very loud. The owner was very nice and helpful. The WiFi almost never worked for us.

Liked: The location was good! And having traveled for three weeks with a car where the listing said ‘parking included’, this apartment had real secure gated parking!! This for us was the biggest highlight. Antonio met us at the parking to show us our suite. We chose one with a small balcony with table and chairs and umbrella overlooking the street below. The apartment was very comfortable with an excellent kitchen, coffee maker, fridge and a washer machine in the bathroom. Antonio and Mariagrazia were very responsive when we asked how to use the hob and other questions or requirements. We came for the Acireale flower festival. And to stay somewhere close to Taormina but not in the centre. During Friday and Saturday there were parades and floats that passed below us on the street that had been closed off. Which weekend you ask? First weekend in May. Overall this is also a quiet location and accessible to everything. Including a trip up to Mount Etna. And… go to Vulcano Pizza very close by for the best we had in Sicily.

Disliked: There wasn’t anything except for the stairs. We were ok with them but you may want to ask for a second story room if the stairs are too much.

Liked: Loved the location and the ability to park on site. Definitely would stay here again.

Liked: I liked everything, accomodation, location, 100% comfortable and clean

Disliked: Everything was perfect. Nothing to complain

Liked: There was no breakfast include location was excellent

Disliked: we could have had more towels/change of towels Stairs to climb

Liked: We were here for 4days. The location is perfect walking distance to the entire downtown. The interior gives the feel of an Italian villa with floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic outdoor space that we used a lot. Our host, Antonio is gracious and helpful. We walked the ancient road from the Duomo to the sea and a wonderful restaurant by the hidden harbor. (very steep, take a taxi back)

Disliked: nothing

Liked: Parking

Disliked: We had a two-room apartment in the attic. The parking lot is good, but it is difficult to drag suitcases on the gravel. The apartment is on a high floor with narrow stairs and it is very difficult to get to it. The apartment felt damp and there were a lot of mosquitoes. During the night there was noise from nearby cafes. From one room, you could enter the bathroom, which is lower than the room, via several steps, which can be dangerous during the night. On our bed, under the cotton sheet, there was a plastic mattress cover, which is extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. The terrace is big and beautiful. Google map is often wrong in the location of the apartment, so you can get lost in the narrow streets because the ZTL is around. The owner is available and responsive. All in all we would not stay at this accommodation again.
