Best Western Plus Hotel Bologna

Highly recommended

We were nearing the end of our trip to Italy. Venice was our last stop—and certainly not the least important one. If you have luggage to haul around, this is the place to stay; it’s not very convenient to walk with suitcases all the way to a hotel through the streets and across the bridges on the island—unless, of course, you take a water taxi. The vaporettos are often packed with tourists. Back to the hotel: its location near the Venice Mestre train station (trains run about every 10 minutes), the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, the option to have breakfast on-site before setting off on your adventures, and the professionalism of the staff make this hotel a must-stay if you’re traveling with luggage—and it’s much cheaper than staying on the island.

Liked: The location is fantastic. Across from the train station, bus and taxi services also nearby!

Disliked: The restaurant service was confusing

Liked: The location is good and this is the only good thing.

Disliked: The reception was super rude and everyone thought he/she was the God. A man named Andrea refused my 4 year old baby check in because her info detail didn’t on the reservation. How could a baby has a phone and email? I asked where she go if she could not check in. He told us “she(my baby) can find another place to live.”. It was 10PM near train station. Avoid this hotel if you can!!! Also, they seemed to mistreat Asian people. You can check Google reviews for this hotel. At least 20 comments mentioned it.

We stayed at three places in Venice and this was the best in terms of location and value. It’s right in front of the station, great for visiting the main island and nearby areas, and most tours meet nearby, so the location is excellent. There’s an Illy coffee shop on the first floor and the barista made an iced Americano for me—by far the best iced Americano I had in Italy. The staff were friendly and the facilities felt upscale. Highly recommend.

Liked: The main driver for choosing the hotel was based on the close proximity to the train station. The room was clean and with all what you need for a comfortable stay.

Disliked: It would have been better if the breakfast with bit more offer and variety. For instance, I am lactose intolerance and I did not have an option for coffee.

Liked: Able to check in past midnight and Location opposite train station, so easy to travel to Venice city and then on last day take train to Milan

Disliked: Nothing

This was the hotel we chose for our honeymoon in Venice. The location and transport links were excellent, the staff were very friendly… but above all, the condition of the accommodation was really, really good. It was clean and modern, and the soundproofing was excellent. I think this was the best hotel choice of our honeymoon, so I’m leaving a review first. Thanks to them we had a wonderful trip and made great memories. Thank you so much. Korean guests will definitely be satisfied!
