Liked: Clean, comfortable. 24 hr remote reception was responsive. The big issue for me was no emergency exit signs ( visible), lighting and no emergency plan posted on the door. I asked remote reception about this and they were silent, even thought they answered other queries. Shared bathroom was ok because no-one else stayed in that section.

Disliked: Lack or emergency plan, signs and lighting.

Liked: Good location between the rail as bus station, and the cathedral. Very nice unit with two small balconies and a Juliet balcony. Good natural light.

Disliked: The check-in system used to access the room involves them sending you a code/icon for your phone which you use to access the front door from the street, the door into the unit, the door to the kitchen, and the door for your unit. You better make sure you are tech savvy and don’t have any problem with your phone.

Liked: The beds were very comfortable. I liked the long pillows. It was great to have a kitchen and a dining area. The location was very quiet.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Well located between the station and cathedral good price communication with all codes and how to use them was very good …. Must read though quiet Clean Kitchen and sitting area DONT EXPECT ANYTHING FANCY AT THIS PRICE

Disliked: We stayed in a room with bathroom outside and it was a fiddle taking your phone ( needed to electronically open every door) every time you used the bathroom or kitchenNo contact with host at all. Overall for what you pay it’s fine

Disliked: The curtains in room 2 could be of a darker colour. Difficult to fall asleep if the room is do light. For the rest excellent

Liked: It had a decent shower. Someone else described it as being like a private room in a backpacker hostel. Expect no more than that.

Disliked: It was easy enough to gain access using their code system. However we were allocated room number 8. Apartment 2a contains only room numbers 1 to 7. We phoned the number provided and after a protracted call were eventually informed that room 8 is in another apartment. None of this was clear from the information we had been sent. The entrance hall to the other apartment is used partly as a store - it was screened off. We had arranged for our bags to be transported. They were not there. On contacting the baggage transfer company they weren't able to tell us the location of our bags. There is information on booking.com telling you that you drop your bags off at another hotel if you want them transported onwards. We make our way to that hotel - another gaiarooms hotel - 13 minutes walk away. At the hotel we are told that they don't have our bags. Whilst there I receive a message from the baggage transport company telling me that the delivery driver was told that the bags could not be accepted where we are staying and must be delivered to the hotel we are now in and that they are here. I show the message to the receptionist. He phones the baggage company and speaks to someone. He then tells us that the baggage company tell him that the bags were not delivered. I insist that they were. As an afterthought he goes to the little room in front of his desk and beside the hotel entrance. It has a PRIVADO sign on the door. He opens it. It is a storeroom and our 2 bags are in it. We walk the 13 minutes back to Blanca. The apartment does not smell fresh. My wife goes to the shower and I lie down on the bed. The mattress is thin and soft, not comfortable. The bed has one pillow, which reaches across 75 percent of the bed. After showers we decide that we do not want to stay here. We book another hotel and leave.
