Canopy by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk

The location is very central with many different spots close by and the staff was professional and helpful with well maintained facilities. However, the value quality ratio felt rather average in comparison to other Hilton locations.

Liked: The friendliness of the staff was top notch!

Disliked: The destination fee was offensive even if you ate at their restaurant and bar. When I booked the trip through Booking.com, that was to include ALL taxes and fees!! Then we get to the hotel and you say you will charge us the destination fee per day! We stayed three days. I complained to the manager, and she removed the fees'. Thank-you! That made all the difference in our stay. It was a matter of PRINCIPLE! The minute we got there and checked in we were told of the extra destination fee. What a BAD way to start out our stay!

Liked: Excellent location! Great service and valet. Restaurant on property right on Riverwalk.

Disliked: Valet was expensive.

Liked: Great location -good music in bars and restaurant areas-

Disliked: The “surprise” $18 destination fee. I was up charged for Tito’s vodka even though I didn’t order it for two drinks in bar. No housekeeping even though I had no sign on my door. Valets seemed lazy and didn’t help with doors when I was handling my luggage alone.

Liked: Big room

Disliked: Check out time to early

Liked: Good location-very gorgeous building and rooms.

Disliked: Not a lot of elevators- lots of waiting.

Liked: Great location on the Riverwalk with easy walk to the Alamo, Briscoe Western Museum, and market square. It has a riverside restaurant with a second bar on the 3rd floor. Valet parking available, or less expensive parking nearby. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. Checking in was fast and efficient. Everything was clean.

Disliked: $70 a day for the on-site valet parking seems a bit excessive, but it was my choice.

Liked: Location

Disliked: Floors looked dirty with concrete look
