Castell Son Claret - The Leading Hotels of the World

Liked: Great hotel, but ultimately it depends on what you’re looking for from your Mallorca stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Castell Son Claret. The hotel design is beautiful, and the property has a wonderful sense of character and tranquility. Breakfast was excellent, and the service in the restaurants was consistently very good. Sa Clastra, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, was a particular highlight and a memorable dining experience. The spa was also very nice and added to the overall feeling of relaxation. There were, however, a couple of things that kept it from being a 9 or 10/10 for me. First, the arrival experience could be better. When we arrived, there was no one at the entrance to welcome us or assist with our luggage. I had to park the car and go inside to check in before someone eventually came out to help. For a hotel of this level, I would expect a more seamless and attentive arrival. The hotel’s location is also quite secluded. While this is part of its charm, the road back to the hotel isn’t the easiest, particularly at night when parts of the road have very little or no lighting. My biggest disappointment, however, was the gym. Given the size, architecture and overall standard of the property, I expected a much better fitness facility. Unfortunately, the gym is very small and has minimal equipment, which was a letdown for me. Overall, Castell Son Claret is a beautiful hotel with excellent restaurants, great service, a lovely spa and fantastic design. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded luxury escape in Mallorca. However, if having a well-equipped gym, easy access to the surrounding area, or a more polished arrival experience is important to you, there are some shortcomings to consider.

Liked: Overall ok

Disliked: Children: you can’t even have a quite breakfast / You are taking a nap and suddenly you have screaming children disturbing your peace Coffee machine: cheap imitations of Nespresso capsules. You would not expect that in a 5 star hotel Restaurant: apparently two stars - would not go there another time

Liked: The property was beautiful! It was a bit isolated, and there was nothing walkable, but it was absolutely breathtaking

Disliked: I wish that there were shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everything involved driving.

Liked: Todo la gente la amabilidad y siempre disponibles

Liked: La atención de la gente. El. Ambiente y los servicios inmejorables. Serviciales, amables, fue como estar en casa

Liked: Great breakfast with choices of hot and cold food. Nice pool area and grounds. Very welcoming room.

This is a place I definitely want to visit again. Everything was perfect, and it still remains in my memory!
