Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives

Liked: It’s a beautiful property, and it has a lovely feeling of cosy and elegant. The staff were fantastic, especially Chamil and Kasun! I proposed to my gf here (and she said yes!!), and the entire staff were supportive of my plan, and all arrangements. They were warm, friendly and honestly started feeling like a part of my family! There were times after the proposal they came up and checked up on how it went, and spoke very warmly.

Liked: Everything was just great

Liked: The furniture was moldy and broken, the towels were gray instead of white, there was NO RESTAURANT (only self-service pool bars), and dirt was everywhere; the pool liner was torn, making the pool unusable. After the first dinner at the hotel, I had to go to the infirmary. The hotel doesn't deserve more than two star rating—it certainly doesn't qualify as a proper holiday destination!

Liked: The resort is beautiful, it is very well kept and clean. We had an amazing water bungalow, the room was spacious and the terrace as well. You have the reef very close so you can swim there everyday. We had All Inclusive package and we ate at the dedicated buffet restaurant, food was various with many options. In general, we loved our stay there and did not want to leave!

Disliked: Alcoholic beverages (wine, cocktails etc), as included in the All Inclusive package, were not great. The activities (such as darts tournament, live music band at night etc) were not really advertised so the entertainment was quite low-key - which we personally did not mind.

Liked: Great location to spend your holidays The staff was very friendly and always eager to help. Special shout-out to the meals crew member Adam and the bar staff, especially Mifzal We stayed in a Water Villa, and it was very nice for a quick swim. Later we got an upgrade to a Sunset villa; would recommend it only for snorkeling fans, because the bottom is not so great for a quick dip into the sea Big game fishing trip was great; we did catch a large dogtooth tuna. Boat crew with Afeef was very professional and supportive Local island excursion was not worth the time and money; we spent most of it walking around without context and in souvenir shops. It also lacked stories, history insights, etc. Meals were always diverse and of good quality

Disliked: Transfer information is provided the evening before arrival; although it went smoothly, earlier communication would be great

Liked: We have been back to Cinnamon Velifushi after amazing experience in 2025. This time we extended our stay but at the time of leaving we realized again that staying here is never enough. A small paradise where all your wishes became true. Having a great sfaff we were happy to find there again Prasad, Mifzal, chef Rajiv, Adam and Sithuni. Thanks to Sanjeeva Perera resort manager for providing us with souvenir from Velifushi. We want also to express our gratitude to all the cleaning staff, service staff, reception staff, kitchen staff, and those who cared our transfers for your kindness and humanity. With your professionality you made our stay awesome once again. Would definitely be back for the third time. We wish you all the best, you are doing a great job. Highly recommended.
