Clocktower Apartment Hotel

Liked: This 2 bedroom apartment is in an excellent location, only a short walk to shops, restaurants and the Melbourne Museum.

Liked: Great locations. We’ll set up.

Disliked: Mold in the shower. Couch had tears in it. Dust on skirtings and power points

Liked: The only good thing about this place is the location.

Disliked: Everything. The room was filthy, mirrors covered in hand prints and dust, corners of every room had piles of dust and hair. The provided miniature toiletries had been refilled (holes cut in the lids etc). The beds were cheap and nasty mattresses with indents from all the use. There was half eaten food in the refrigerator. The taps run/ leak non stop. It is such a great location and has a lot of potential but it’s probably one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in.

Liked: Great location and friendly, helpful accommodating staff. Staff arranged a ramp at the front door of apartment to facilitate wheelchair entry.

Disliked: Facility a bit outdated but okay. Shower door not able to be opened.

Liked: We could not access the building - our contact was not there

Disliked: Shared apartments have no locks, all your stuff is left in an unlocked room where the other tenants could access. No lock on the bathroom either, very little privacy, check in wasn’t great either

Liked: Location. Only redeeming feature.

Disliked: Filthy. Heaps of cigarette butts piled up on the window. No lock on door.

Liked: Location was very central and close to the city. Lygon Street restaurants, cafes etc short walk away. Tram was a couple of blocks walk through parklands which were lovely.

Disliked: Mostly everything else ie:- Staff advised our room had been cleaned just before we arrived - it had definitely not been cleaned as there were spill stains on the kitchen floor, opened used soap, shampoo bottles etc in shower and on basin. Hair in the basin and on the floors. We had clean towels and sheets (hopefully). The receptionist was leaving for the day but stayed to hand over the keys [which we were advised would be in an envelope at our room.] Only problem was we could not understand much of what she said as she mumbled under her breath and my hearing is excellent. The instructional video regarding the car parking is a nightmare.
