“Beautiful old hotel”

This hotel is beautiful for an older hotel. The staff have been great. The rooms are very clean. The beds are comfortable. The pillows are lovely. The view is nice so close to the park and the lake and the fountain I am not disappointed in my choice at all, and hearing the history of the hotel by someone who has been here 40 years was amazing as well getting to view the ballroom. The gold room was gorgeous. We enjoyed our trip incredibly, and the hotel was a big part of that.

“Location Amazing for marathon”

The location is fantastic for the Chi Marathon. The front area of the hotel is beautiful. In the Buckingham wing stairwell we walked several times a day was forgotten about. Ripped frayed carpet, holes in the roof, wall painted and left half painted..... then you walk down the gold staircase.... while the above looks like forgotten project. Loved the location but old part of the hotel needs some love!!!

“Acceptable”

Liked: The staff was excellent.

Disliked: The first room smelled like a sour mop. I complained and we were moved. The room was not 100% clean. We haven’t stayed there since pre-Covid. The hotel rooms were nice then, not now. A refund for the amount we paid for the room would be nice.
