In general the hotel is nice. A bit of renovation and upgrade would be great.
The hotel is well-located and accessible by public transportation, and the room is pretty big. --- please pay attention to be anonymous!!!
Liked: The beds were extremely comfy, parking wasn't too expensive, and free bottled water is always nice. I did not use the text feature to let them know how the stay was but appreciated the general idea of it.
Disliked: Check in process was a little long, but everybody has an off day now and then.
Liked: Location was great. Staff was excellent
Disliked: The rooms need better curtains. Curtisnss papesr to be dated and kept falling down. The balcony was an eye sore. Didn’t appear properly maintained.

Liked: Location. Large bedrooms overlooking woods (versus the smaller tower rooms).
Disliked: Rates doubled on the weekends. Duty manager never answered his line. Nor did he return messages. We had to stay longer than originally needed and couldn’t arrange that remotely. Outdoor pool closed for the season with absolutely no notices (no posts on property website. No notices in lobby. No texts nor emails. No paper slipped under door).
Liked: Room was spacious, beds were very comfortable, and clean. Only thing to keep in mind is that this is an older hotel and it shows. Dated but not run down. Parking was $20 so very reasonable. Breakfast buffet was meh, not much options, not refreshed fast enough for this price should have driven 3 minutes for a much better meal. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Patient too, the gentleman before me was being quite difficult. You know the kind that books the cheapest room but expects a free upgrade. Close enough to downtown Toronto without being ridiculously expensive and an easy drive to uptown Markham/North york/ Thornhill. Did not use public transportation so no idea for people who don’t drive. Overall very satisfied.
