Crowne Plaza Vienna By IHG

Liked: I booked a room at this hotel because last time I stayed there, the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Both was still true this time.

Disliked: After I paid for the room at the check-in, the employee at the desk handed me a form and told me she "needed" two signatures from me. On the form there was a data protection waiver when joining some kind of club and a permission for the hotel to withdraw money from my bank account if necessary. I told her that I had just paid in advance for my whole stay and that I also didn't intend to join a club. Only after insisting a second time that I wouldn't sign anything on this form, she reluctantly accepted. Upon entering my room, I discovered several long black hairs on the bathroom floor and in the sink. Then I stepped on a hard piece of transparent plastic, probably a piece of packaging from some toiletry. So I went to the desk again and politely informed the woman there that my bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. She replied that she would send somebody to clean the room immediately. However, for the duration of my stay, nobody came to clean the bathroom. It seems to me that the quality of this hotel has taken a steep nosedive since the recent change of ownership. A clean room and a somewhat reliable staff are the bare minimum not only for a four-star hotel, but for any hotel. I won't return.

Liked: Friendly staff

Liked: best in category price, quality and location

Disliked: love everything

Liked: The room was unusually spacious and well-equipped, with a desk, several chairs, coffee and tea maker, etc. Also the shower was very nice and spotlessly clean. Decor is pleasant in a fairly neutral. modernist way.

Disliked: The neighborhood is a little dull but public transport in Vienna is excellent, so one can get about easily. Fitness facilities are quite limited. I didn't try the breakfast so cannot comment.

Alles guat gsi

Liked: Location, room and bathroom size, facilities

Disliked: Air conditioning was slow (too much time waiting for cooler temperature in the room)

Liked: Bathroom was amazing

Disliked: I had to pay for space in the garage, over 200 euro, it was more then 1 night in this hotel. Parking was small so I almast damage my car

I was impressed by the size of deluxe double room! The air conditioning also worked perfectly which saved me from a heatwave.
