De Vivo Realty - Relais Mirage Sorrento

Liked: Room was clean, the guy that met us at the hotel to give us our keys was incredibly nice and was kind enough to give us some very good recommendations for restaurants and things to see in the area and around the city center

Disliked: The location was a little difficult to get to via walk - the road is narrow and there are no sidewalks and you’re walking up hill to get to the hotel. It was a pretty steep walk and is not easy to do. Also not having a front desk and having to communicate via WhatsApp makes things tricky if you need something quickly or at odd hours.

Liked: Nice size bed and bathroom

Disliked: Broken heater (was given an inconvenient space heater instead) and the location isn’t prime.

Liked: We stayed in the large apartment and the view was amazing, you can see the sea and the city, which was the best part. The person who helped us check in was really nice and helpful. The location is central and close to a lot of things.

Disliked: That said, there were several problems. Even though it’s close to everything, the walk there is steep, there’s no sidewalk, and walking at night didn’t feel safe. We thought we were booking a hotel, but it’s actually a BnB inside a residential building with no reception. That wasn’t clear when we booked. The apartment looked much older than in the pictures. It smelled old, there were spider webs, the sinks didn’t drain properly, and the furniture and appliances were very used. The coffee machine had actual MOLD in it (i’ve attached photos). We were told maintenance could come fix the sink, but we didn’t feel comfortable having someone come in while we were staying there. Finally, the building was hard to find. There are no signs or clear directions, and even our local taxi driver couldn’t find it, we were dropped off at the wrong location and had to figure it out on our own. In short, great view and helpful host, but overall not what we expected and not worth the price. If we were to come back to Sorrento, we’d definitely choose a different place to stay.

Liked: Very clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Sorrento is a must do tour!

Disliked: Not in city center, but is not more than 10 minutes walking.

Liked: Such a beautiful new apartment, USB outlets beside the bed, electric shutters to block out noise and light, pretty view on the patio! Easy check in

Disliked: Nothing, all was good! It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Center! Not bad but an uphill walk there and downhill walk down, with heavy bags could be harder. However my partner and I walked it with large travel backpacks and going to and from for dinner and such and it was fine!

Liked: it was clean and not too expensive, Sorrento seemed expensive.

Disliked: check in was a little chaotic, we got no instructions for check out. We felt like the location was a bit restrictive. 3rd floor In a room. up the hill without a car.

Liked: Comfortable bed, nice view with deck, nice kitchen and spacious apartment and bathroom.

Disliked: Bathroom did not have shelves for toiletries. Coffee maker was a challenge. Only was provided one set of towels for a four night stay. No basic essentials such as paper towels and facial Kleenex.
