“Define your value”
We had OK stay and I select "I would recommend it" as the staff is nice and location is perfect so for 1 night we could survive, BUT, there are big BUTs: 1. Price per value: You would be able to get a better stay in a better room, but maybe different city, even if it is a hostel for this price. Our room was right behind the staff desk, it was older with older furniture (bathroom was OK) and the sheets had old stains. We could hear people from the outside easily and someone kept talking at night. Since we stayed just one night we didn't argue but it is a heads up for others. 2. Noise: As mentioned, the door will let in any noise, there is very little privacy and you will need earplugs to sleep peacefully or be dead exhausted. 3. Value vs location: Again, maybe this is issue of Ruifang so if the demand is high, the price can be higher as well, but yes, decide at your own will. So overall, if you need a quick stay near the train station, the night market and don't need new interior, it is OK. However, the price would be able to get you better in other cities. We had no other choice as others were sold out.

“Please assess on your own.”
Reasons I do not recommend: 1. Stayed several consecutive days, but the guesthouse did not arrange room cleaning. 2. You have to take out your own trash. 3. The comforter is too small, so people end up fighting over the covers. 4. The water dispenser is too far from the room; if you want warm/hot water you have to go downstairs to the neighboring building. Guest rooms do not provide thermoses or electric kettles. 5. Towels are not provided; domestic guests must bring their own or buy disposable nonwoven bath towels from the guesthouse. 6. Although the guesthouse is in an alley, staff coming and going and conversations in the alley still disturb residents. 7. There is no elevator; you must figure out how to carry your luggage upstairs, which is unfriendly for international travelers with large or heavy bags. 8. No hand soap is provided; you can only wash your hands with shampoo or body wash.

“Transportation and living facilities are super convenient.”
This time we stayed in a quadruple room. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. The room is located inside, so it’s very quiet. The air conditioning is set low; the circulation fan doesn’t need to oscillate, so it doesn’t disturb sleep. No disposable amenities at all—bath towels, towels, toothbrushes, combs are not provided, so you need to bring your own. There is body wash and shampoo. There’s a multi-outlet extension cord for everyone to charge their devices. There are only two small bedside tables, which aren’t good for placing things. If they provided a vanity table with a makeup mirror and a full-length mirror, it would be more convenient for all the women traveling together. Right outside the alley there are many street vendors and a food plaza, and just around the corner is the train station—super convenient.

“Great base for exploring the areas”
Liked: Love the location perfect next to the ruifeng food court. We did hiking over the long weekend and the river is beautiful and has a nice walk. This was a great home base.
Disliked: After a long day hiking the bed was really uncomfortable but the room was clean and bigger than I thought!

“Refusal of transaction customers”
The night I checked in I called to say I would be arriving after the 21:00 latest check-in time. The staff told me they had a solution and said they would send details by text message. I originally thought it was a thoughtful service — later I realized it was actually just because they didn’t want their shift delayed... On check-in that night I took the key from the front desk and went to the room, but the key wouldn’t go into the lock. I then discovered the door wasn’t locked and just opened it to go in. Later, when I went out for a late-night snack, I found that the key left by the desk was the wrong one (my registration said S3B, but the key given was for S4B). I first sent a text to the customer service number and got no reply, then called twice; both times it rang three times and went to voicemail (clearly they didn’t want to answer and just cut it off). The next morning I reported the wrong key at the desk and the staff responded, “Someone just took the wrong key.” After checking her drawer she realized she herself was the one who had given the wrong key. That was the end of the wrong-key incident. The next night in the room I noticed all the grout lines in the bathroom tiles were filthy — when I rinsed them with water black streaks kept appearing... Yeah. That’s it.
