Liked: The location was amazing

Disliked: Nothing

Disliked: This booking fell through on the morning of travel. We booked it months before and kept receiving emails and texts telling us to check in. I did check in on the morning of my flight to Verona only to instantly receive a whats app saying the suite was now unavailable due to a flood in another room. We were offered alternative accomodation that was nowhere near as good. So we were just about to set off to the airport and that was what happened. Judge for yourself.

Liked: The location was excellent. Spacious apartment. Bed was very comfortable and it had everything you needed for a comfortable stay

Disliked: Nothing, we loved it

Disliked: On our first morning at 0900 we encountered a loud noise from the apartment directly below us coming from 2 industrial compressors operating on the balcony. We contacted their staff member and she assured us that it was emergency repair work to prevent flooding and that it would stop at 1100 which it did, she added that there would be no more work carried out during the rest of our stay. This was not true. Loud noise from a hammer drill & a disc cutter continued during the day for the rest of our stay, excluding the weekend. We did manage to negotiate with the builders not to start drilling until 1000 so we could have breakfast before leaving for the day. Because of the noise, which precluded conversation and was totally intolerable we were unable to remain in the apartment during the day. Domus suites representative told us repeatedly this was emergency work due to flooding. However the municipal work notice attached to the balcony clearly showed the work was in fact “ MANUTENZIONE STRAORDINARIA” (English - Extraordinary Maintenance (Major Renovation) it also shows the work was due to start from 30th March 2026. We were booked from the 13th May for 8 nights. If we had known this building work was due to take place during our stay we would have cancelled our booking. Domus suites offered us financial compensation which is not adequate for the disruption of our holiday. Fortunately we used a credit card to pay for our trip and will be pursuing our claim through the card provider.

Liked: I stayed in the top apartment with the mezzanine. The apartment is really lovely! And was in a fantastic location. The host was really helpful and there was good communication. It was a brilliant stay.

Disliked: Tiny thing! Could maybe do with a few extra kitchen bits, like a chopping board or tea towel.

Liked: Great location

Disliked: There could have been tea/coffee/milk provided as a courtesy. This would have been particularly nice after a day travelling. There was no tea towel. We left the tea and coffee we brought fir the next guests. The celings are very low in places so watch your head

Liked: The absolute best point to this apartment was location. SUPERB.

Disliked: The toilet and shower in this apartment was wholly unsuitable. We are a couple of average size and totally struggled to shower. You actually had to slip in sideways through a tiny leaky door. We actually had to get dried in the kitchen area as was impossible in toilet.

Liked: very good location, absolutely loved the apartment and the bed on the second floor added a nice touch to the stay.

Disliked: the apartment itself is pretty, however feels very empty, an addition of a carpet or some filler furniture would do a massive job, as well as that got a knock on the door as soon as we arrived from 2 indian women asking us to enter the apartment checking for algae and being very persistent about it, also some parts of the bathroom indeed had algae but it didn’t affect the stay at all.
