Doors of Cappadocia Hotel

We had such a wonderful stay at Doors of Cappadocia. Our room was huge and beautiful and we had a great view of the balloons. I must also mention the very lovely Mustafa who went out of his way to make us feel so welcomed. He gave us a tour of the space, including an incredible wine cellar, made sure we had everything we needed, recommended things, offered to make us a breakfast that wasn't on the menu, honestly he was so kind and helpful to us during our stay,- thank you so much Mustafa, and all the staff for being so lovely. The breakfast were huge and there was so much choice and the location is excellent - quiet, brilliant views and 10 min walk from the noisier side of Goreme.

Liked: The room, location, views, rooftop terrace were all excellent. The hotel was very clean.

Disliked: Drinks were very expensive in the hotel, there wasn't an excess of choice at breakfast, the air conditioning wasn't working in our room and the staff advised it was a wider issue and wouldn't be fixed during our stay.

Liked: Beautiful hotel. Great staff and superb location. Very quiet surroundings and ideal for watching early morning balloons on roof terrace area.

Disliked: Breakfast starts at 8am but the balloons finish at 7ish, it would be great to start breakfast at 7.30am instead of having almost 1h in between. We used the minibar for 2 waters and 4 soft drinks. We paid the remaining amount at check out (1.400TL), just after that we ordered another soft drink at the pool bar and the waitress charged us 150TL for 1 soft drink, we felt like the receptionist over charged us cause numbers don't line up. Just make sure you double check prices before paying.

Liked: The property was beautiful! Our room was comfortable, clean and had a great view from our terrace. The location in Goreme was great, with lots of nearby restaurants. The breakfast was nice and had lots of choice. The hotel staff were outstanding, Memo in particular was incredibly helpful. He sorted out our balloon ride and private tour on the day we arrived. We only stayed 3 days in Cappadocia but he made sure we had lots to do and suggested activities and sites to visit, without us having to ask. They really went above and beyond for us to ensure our stay was a fantastic experience. All the staff we interacted with were so friendly and generous with their time and knowledge of the area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Cappadocia, it’s good value for money and the staff made our trip a memorable magical experience.

Liked: The location is excellent, a very short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants but still peaceful. The rooftop is perfect for viewing the balloons. The staff are all friendly and helpful, giving advice about what to do in the area. Really good choice at breakfast. The hotel is small enough (20 rooms) for the staff to recognise you and give the personal service.

Disliked: The towels in the rooms and pool could do with being replaced with some new ones
