“Exceptional”

We’ve got two boxes of cookies as welcome gift. The location is not exactly in Mongkok hustle bustle area, but they provide shuttle service and its near to another MTR station.

“Great location and nice hotel - would stay again.”

Liked: Room was compact (small) but reasonable for Hong Kong. Staff were efficient and friendly. We really liked the water dispenser, saving plastic bottles. Thoughtful touches to have fridge, kettle for hot water, and a very practical charging cube. Bed & bedding was very comfortable

Disliked: Paint and furniture slightly dates but quite acceptable

“Great Location”

The location of the hotel is great. The McDonald and 7Eleven is just across the street and lots of local stores and eateries surrounding the area. The closes bigger mall that is a walking distance from the hotel is the Olympic City Mall. The hotel provided the shuttle van that can take you to the Ladies Market, Langham Place, DFS and other places listed on their routes. Just be aware though that sometimes pick up schedule can be delayed so be patient when waiting. About the room, it is small so imagine how small is the twin bed. I felt like I will fall if I keep turning more while asleep. However, it is clean and the room is bright. They also provided a kettle, refillable glass tumbler, tea, coffee and there is a mini refrigerator too. The breakfast is good, as well as, the service. The hotel has a laundry facility which is very convenient. But I wonder why there is only one flat iron considering that the hotel have plenty of guests. Overall, I can recommend Dorsett Mongkok Hotel.

“A conveniently located hotel that is a good base for visiting key Hong Kong sites.”

Liked: The room was modern and up to date and the location was very convenient as it was only about a 5-7 minute walk to the metro. They had a free wine event from 6-7 each night which wasn’t well advertised and we only found out about it as we were using the lounge/ laundry room.

Disliked: The only thing was that the room was very tight, hard to move from one end to the other without walking sideways.

“This Hotel met our needs and expectations at the time.”

Liked: The availability at the one day notice was great, given it was a National Holiday weekend in Hong Kong and China at that time.

Disliked: The room was extremely small.
