Ella Camping Resort

Liked: None at all But l should say there is one and only person who was struggling to provide basic care for the visitors is the manager.He is a young and dedicated person who should deserve a better place than this.

Disliked: Web site description booking.com was totally different to what is offering. It says free transport available for all bookings except for tent booking. We booked dormitory for my family and the communication at the time of booking was that they are going to pick us from either from the railway station or from the bus stop.But on the day of arrival when we requested transportation we were asked to come by bus from Ella. We waited about an hour to get the bus and totally exhausted with the days of long travel from London. There was only one bus which seemed to be the last bus on that root for the day and it was over filled and no room for ny of us. Finally they agreed to provide three wheeler from Ella to the hotel,it was extremely difficult travel with no proper road to travel,on contrary to the description on the web site. The night man stat when we arrived to the place The dormitory room was so disgusting with lot of dust with no proper cleaning. Bed sheets were old and dusty and some were ragged not safe to use. Bed covers were not changed from previous use,there were traces of saliva on some of pillows. There were kind of insects were in the room. There were really unsafe detached wooden stairs to enter to the this dormitory room There were no bathrooms attached to this Dormitory room. Toilet and bath rooms were outside in a different place and we have to walk in the dark to go there. No locks on the door, no closed windows for bathrooms No cleaning products available to use in the bathroom or in the toilet. Floors were not cleaned at all. Except for the manager, others didn't not have any clue what to provide or not. When asked for bath towels,they were asking whether 3 towels were adequate for 5 of us. There are so many unacceptable things at this stay totally destroyed our enthusiasm for a wonderful holiday.

Liked: The evening campfire provides an excellent ambience.

Disliked: The beautiful hues of a sunrise are truly a sight to behold, yet we are unable to experience that here. Our current vantage point unfortunately only offers views of the sunset. While we may not witness the beginning of the day, the sunset provides its own unique charm. Its warm colors and the quiet transition into night are certainly worth appreciating. We can still find beauty in the end of the day.

Liked: View was amazing

Disliked: The route, hardly found the route but event a scooter can’t go that road. And the pinned location was different than actual, need to go more 3 4 kilo meters from the map pin point to location. Property was kind a confusing and there’s no enough spaces even in the washroom. But, i got comfortable bed and the peoples are very kind.

Liked: Loved it thank you so much for everything! The breakfast was delicious and helped us organise tuktuks into the centre

Liked: Plenty of food to go around

Disliked: The last 900m road to the property requires maintenance.

Liked: The photos that are on the page of the location and views do not do the place justice at all! The real life location is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life. Wake up and have a coffee whilst looking at that was breath taking. It also felt as if we were staying in a real life studio ghibly house the way the building are built into the cliff is amazing.

Disliked: Other than the bumpy road down there was nothing bad about the place.

Liked: Breakfast was Good we saw many fireflies

Disliked: The way was bad and long to the hotel

Liked: The Camping area is really beautiful. In the middle of the jungle you are close to nature. Breakfast is awesome. Very authentic and it’s a lot. We saw monkeys while having breakfast and fireflys on the way to the camp. Great views on Ravana Waterfalls and little adams peak.

Disliked: We stayed in the economy room. Gladly we brought fly screen because the windows are open. The road to the camp is really bad! It‘s a 20minute walk from the main road, because no car driver wants to go down that road
