Fairmont Bab Al Bahr

Liked: I like everything about this hotel and the breakfast was amazing

Disliked: I didn’t expect the room it wasn’t clean enough

Liked: I recently stayed at Fairmont Abu Dhabi and had a mixed experience. The room had a really beautiful view, which was definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, I felt that the furniture was quite old and could use some updating even the shower head and bathtub felt so old and not maintained. I also found the room to be dusty, which affected my overall impression of the cleanliness. I couldn’t reach reception and housekeeping the line was always busy through out different timings of the day. I informed that i am staying for a birthday occasion there was no preparation for anything at all. One thing that made me particularly uncomfortable was the windows. They are very see-through, and because the room overlooks the pool and beach area, people outside can potentially see into the room, especially in the morning. This meant we had to keep the blinds closed most of the time, which was disappointing considering the beautiful view. The breakfast was decent — I would rate it around 7/10. The pool was okay, and I really enjoyed the beach; it was a nice part of the stay. On the positive side, the views from the room were really beautiful, and there is a very nice sushi restaurant at the Fairmont that I enjoyed. Overall, I think the hotel has a lot of potential, especially because of the location, views, beach, and dining options, but the rooms and cleanliness could use some attention and updating
