This is the perfect upscale hotel for a relaxing visit to Hanoi. The bath house is amazing!

Everything was perfect!!!!

This was a couple's trip and my husband's first time in Hanoi, and Fairmont Hanoi made it unforgettable. The location is superb — Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, the French Quarter and St Joseph's Cathedral are all within walking distance, along with plenty of Michelin Bib Gourmand eateries. Gold Lounge access was worth every dollar. Breakfast is served à la carte so everything arrives fresh and warm, afternoon tea is a treat, and the daily Golden Hour (5.30–7.30pm) offers unlimited cocktails, wine and sparkling. Special mention to Shu, who remembered our drinks and had them chilled and ready before we arrived, and Woody, a trainee whose service felt polished well beyond his experience; he even surprised my husband with an espresso martini at breakfast. Sincere, elegant service throughout. Housekeeping was equally impressive. Our room was usually refreshed before we'd finished breakfast, the evening turndown was immaculate, and every detail — laundry, fresh towels, the gentle arrangement of our belongings — was quietly taken care of. Add in excellent facilities (the bathhouse is a must, plus a meditation capsule, indoor and outdoor pools, and a Technogym-equipped gym) and we left already planning our return.

From the moment you step in, the Fairmont Hanoi’s aesthetic is impeccable — impeccable taste, spotless throughout, and beautifully designed spaces that feel both luxurious and calming. Every detail shows real thought. The facilities are out of this world. The 24-hour gym is excellent, and the bathhouse is unlike anything I’ve experienced — forest room, salt room, ice room, multiple saunas, and Vichy showers, plus both indoor and outdoor pools. A proper sanctuary after a busy day exploring Hanoi. But it’s the staff who truly make this hotel special — warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there, which says everything about how well this property is run. A huge shout-out to Victor in the gym, who patiently guided my daughter and me through the equipment with so much care — it felt like a personal training session rather than a quick gym orientation. The Wine Bar deserves its own mention: incredible atmosphere, and we were lucky enough to catch Bella Forte, a Canadian jazz and soul singer, performing live. What a treat! After a day navigating Hanoi’s wonderfully chaotic streets, coming back to unwind at the wine bar, the rooftop pool, or the bathhouse was pure bliss. Already counting down to my next stay.

The room cleanliness and facilities are excellent, and the staff service is outstanding! No need to explain anything twice — they just know what you need. The terrace gives you extra space so it never feels cramped. The rooftop pool is really relaxing, and the indoor pool and sauna facilities are also excellent!
