“Great facility and staff”
The check in process was smooth. The counter staff gave us a room upgrade and offered me a slice of birthday cake for my birthday all the staff are very friendly. We enjoyed the complimentary food in the hotel very much.

“Above average”
Liked: I liked the location, staff, free afternoon tea and supper.
Disliked: The room was much smaller than the description because the fire escape balcany, nearly 10 meter squares, was included in the room size and it was not open for use. So I think the room size was misleading.

“Very good”
The room is good for family stay. The service and food is also good. One thing to note is the parking space is less.

“The housing price is relatively high, the bathroom is small, and the cost-performance ratio is not good.”
1. The basement parking uses mechanical lifts; there’s also a parking lot in front of the entrance with about 30 spaces. 2. Hotel facilities are ordinary. The gym is small, and they’d even squeezed two board games in there — not sure why they put them inside. 3. The bathroom in the room is small; the shower area basically only fits one person unless you stand inside the soaking tub to shower. 4. They offered a late-night snack and breakfast, but both were very ordinary — a bit disappointing to see.

“Use of space, air conditioning, breakfast environment and items.”
1. Although we booked a room for four, the space felt like a double room. 2. The air conditioning didn't cool, and water leaked from above the luggage rack. The dripping noise is very unfriendly to people with sleep problems — I slept poorly, and the clothes in my suitcase got soaked. What seems like a minor issue caused inconvenience and spoiled the rest of the trip. 3. The hotel should stagger breakfast service during long holiday crowds so the dining area doesn't get so crowded. As it was, it felt more like being on a tour bus than staying at a five-star hotel. 4. The breakfast selection really doesn't match the hotel's expensive reputation; there shouldn't be such a big difference between east and west. Suggestions: 1. Clean the air-conditioning ducts regularly instead of waiting for problems to appear. 2. Accepting the hotel's local specialty gift does not mean we approve of how they handled the situation; it only avoids making the staff uncomfortable. 3. Reduce the amount of processed and fried items in the breakfast menu.

“Friendly services”
Kids love the swimming pool, the slide and the spa pool. The bedding is comfortable, however the dehumidifier is noisy. The entrance space is limited. The closet door cannot close fully. The food is not bad, not a big variety, but enough. It’s great to offer a free afternoon tea and late night snacks. Will consider to stay at this hotel next time.

“Service attitude”
We stayed in a family room on March 9. First, the friendliest staff in the whole hotel were the security directing traffic and the restaurant servers — their warmth felt natural. The front desk staff on the first floor, however, came across as overly rehearsed. That evening, a rather thin young woman in the game room had the weakest service attitude and needs improvement. I've stayed at many hotels, and yours is the first to require children to clean up completely before leaving the play area, especially the ball pit. At the pool they repeatedly required us to change into proper swimwear and wear swim caps, yet that same evening a guest entered the pool wearing a T-shirt and shorts and was not stopped. When I raised this, an employee said the guest was wearing beachwear so it was allowed, but that is not stated on the posted entrance rules.

“Exceptional”
As a 4-star hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Yilan Jiaoxi lives up to expectations. Staff training is evident at the front desk, restaurant, and among the housekeeping team — all are high quality. The room was clean and hygienic, but the soaking tub for hot springs was surprisingly small, really only suitable for one person. The shower sits right next to the tub, so unless you don’t mind soap suds getting into the soaking water, it’s difficult for two people to bathe or soak at the same time — you’ll have to take turns. Breakfast offers both Western and Chinese options and is abundant and of good quality. Late-night snacks were a bit disappointing. Although it wasn’t meant to be an all-you-can-eat setup, the small bowls provided to make salty soy milk felt a bit too homey, like playing house. 😆
