“Acceptable”
Liked: This would have been a 1 star but the owner was nice. The bed was so uncomfortable that we had to put all of the blanket under the mattress to be able to sleep. The room was HOT during the day and freezing at night, was impossible to just chill in the room after 8am. The shower sprayed everywhere except on you, and will leak in the room. There was nothing to put your stuff on, so after we complained the owner brought in a table and chair which was nice. When we first went in there was an infestation of ants so we had to asked for a spray and they gave it to us. None of the windows had cover, so was incredibly bright. The kitchen was big and had stuff but there was no running water so no cleaning or cooking.
Disliked: The sheets were dirty when we first arrived, literally feet dirt and blood stained. We requested new sheets which they gave us. The man at the reception seemed annoyed from it. The only positive thing was the location, very central.

“Great place! I'd go back for sure!”
Liked: I really enjoyed my 8 peaceful days there! Every morning, the birds that live in the patio vegetation announce the day at first light. The rooms have very high ceilings and stay cool inside, even at the hottest part of the day.
Disliked: They need to move the hooks from outside the toilet and shower stalls to inside them.

“Much better than current rating of 7.1!”
Liked: Very quiet, soulful. The employees are nice, helpful, speak English. The kitchen is open 24/7. There are plenty of showers and toilets. The patio is nice and cool, other than from noon to 3pm, when it's in full sun.
Disliked: The shower and toilet stalls don't have a hook inside, only outside.

“High value for money”
10 minutes walk to Zócalo de Puebla and surrounding by numerous historical buildings. You and take buses at the corner which is only 1 minute away on the corner, making it easy to get anywhere. The hostel garden is such a lovely spot to unwind. Staff are super friendly and always ready to help. Facilities could be better, but for this price, I can’t complain at all.

“Terrible Stay Experience”
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room looked nothing like the pictures and was extremely dirty. Basic amenities were missing, there was not even soap provided. Water was leaking into the room, making the floor slippery and uncomfortable. The staircase was in very poor condition and felt unsafe, posing a real risk of someone falling. Overall, the place was badly maintained and disappointing. I would have cancelled my stay immediately, but it was too late and I was too tired to find another option. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Bedbugs, stained towels sold as “deposits,” unlocked rooms, limited shower hours, and unusable WiFi made this one of the”
Liked: What a horrible experience. On my first night, I caught a bedbug myself, not suspected but confirmed. I killed it, took photos, and even verified it to be a bedbug. Instead of addressing the infestation properly, they simply moved me to another room, as if bedbugs do not travel. To make matters worse, the dorm rooms with 4 to 6 beds each have no locks and are often left wide open, so anyone or anything can go in and out freely. If you want to get bitten, this is the place. At check in, I was charged 20 pesos for a towel. Because “deposit” can be confusing across languages, I specifically asked using Google Translate whether it was a rental and whether I would get the money back at checkout. She clearly confirmed yes. We went back and forth for about two minutes to make sure. However, at checkout, they refused to return the 20 pesos and suddenly claimed it was not a deposit. If that had been clear from the start, I could have simply walked to the market and bought a clean towel instead of using their blood stained one. The internet is also terrible and barely works inside the rooms. They also only allow shower access during limited hours, from 7 AM to 11 AM and 7 PM to 11 PM, which is extremely inconvenient for travelers with early departures, late arrivals, or daytime plans. So if you are looking for bedbugs, an overpriced stained towel, unlocked dorm rooms, restricted shower access, and WiFi that does not function, this place might be a hidden gem for you. Otherwise, stay far away.
