Grand Ferdinand - Beyond Stars and Standards

Went in fall so no air conditioning and room was hot but location was great.

Liked: Restaurants, front desk staff, location

Liked: Quiet great location Breakfast is wonderful

Liked: Localization. Decoration and swimming pool at rooftop. Good food on restaurante at rooftop.

Disliked: We booked a big room for 3 persons (couple + child of 10). When we arrive reception told us they made a mistake and they no room available for 3 persons so they gave us 2 rooms (1 single + 1 double) by the same price of 1 room for 3. Although we pay the same price it was not nice for us. We were on holiday and our kid is too young too stay alone in a room in a big hotel so the 3 of us had to split ouselves during the stay (mum with son or dad with son...). We propose reception to give us just one double room with a discount (as we would be tight but they didn't accpted). Also not nice that we were only informed about this at moment of check-in. Regarding cleanliness: some parts of the rooms (both of them) were dusty.

Liked: Location facility, staff helpful and professional / bistro restaurant employee Isaac was a 10 during our stay/ we had breakfast every day and he was very attentive with us

Disliked: Has nothing that we could say negative

Liked: Breakfast & the view of the breakfast location was amazing. Available staff, comfortable rooms. Location of the hotel was also great. Next door Bar with also good food was also handy.

Disliked: Only downside of this hotel was that the smell of fried oil from the restaurant was entering the very last rooms at the end of the aisle. The constant smell of burnt oil was disturbing. specially at the end of the aisle of 5th floor.

The hotel is located 5 minutes away from the Parliament House and 15 mins away by walking from St. Stephen’s Basilica, so it’s quite a good location on the Pest side of the city. To go to the Buda side is easy with a tram and a bus ride away. The room is beautiful and spacious with high ceilings. Staff was ok - helpful enough but not particularly warm.

Liked: Great location. Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Restaurants.

Disliked: Free Coffee was not refilled daily. Beds a little to hard. Courtyard rooms sometimes a little noisy in the morning.
