Disliked: No air conditioning, nowhere does it say that their air conditioning has been broken for months. Temperature was around 60° F outside, but somehow it was in the high 80s inside

Disliked: Dear Booking team, Please note that I arrived at the property at around 11:30 AM, and unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed with my experience. As I mentioned in the notes on my booking, I had requested an early check-in. However, when I arrived at the property yesterday, I was informed that my room was not ready. I was given access to a bathroom and had to change my clothes there before attending an important meeting with a customer. At the time, I chose not to complain because I was in a hurry. However, I believe I should have been informed in advance that my early check-in request could not be accommodated, especially since I had specifically mentioned it in my booking. When I returned to the hotel, I waited until the official check-in time of 4:00 PM. Once I received my room key and entered the room, I immediately noticed an extremely strong musty smell. The smell was so unpleasant that I did not consider the room suitable for sleeping or staying overnight. I have stayed in hotels all around the world, and I have genuinely never experienced such a strong and unpleasant smell in a hotel room before. I therefore returned to reception and asked about upgrading my room. I was willing to pay the additional €46 for the upgrade. However, before paying, I simply requested to see the upgraded room first. I explained that a member of staff could accompany me to show me the room. If the alternative room had the same issue, there would be no need to change my booking and I would simply leave the hotel. If the room was acceptable and did not have the same smell, we could return to reception together and I would immediately pay the additional amount. ( and I don't even need to turn back to reception, my credit card is already linked to my booking account and they can charge easily.) I had already booked my original room on a non-refundable basis, and at that point I was not even requesting a refund.

Liked: Staff was very helpful. Location is great.

Disliked: Room lacked a microwave, refrigerator was useless.

Disliked: I was extremely upset and disappointed, especially after a long journey. Upon check-in, the staff member asked me to cancel my Booking.com reservation, assuring me that she would book the same room directly at a lower rate and that Booking.com would waive the cancellation fee. I followed her instructions, but just one minute later, the hotel became sold out and she could no longer provide me with a room. Her colleague then denied what had happened and refused to take responsibility. I was left without a room and had to find another hotel after a long and exhausting trip.
