Liked: Good location have tranquil respite from the noisy and busy bazaars.

Disliked: The access is along narrow walkways. Don’t arrive on a Friday night as we did very close to the Mosque where 25000 pray on a Friday evening.

Liked: This is a beautiful hotel located deep in the beating heart of Old Delhi - near Chandni Chowk and Jama Masjid. So you get the best of both worlds: the quiet and comfort of a fancy hotel, and an explosion of noise, colour, smells, sights and great restaurants just outside your doorstep. The staff are fantastically helpful, and the rooms are delightful.

Liked: Everything was ok.

Disliked: They tried to charge food I have already paid. The road to get the hotel is horrible.

Liked: A haven of tranquillity, a real tonic for the chaotic old city. The restoration work of these historic Haveli’s are beautiful. We were vey grateful for the porter service which guided us to the hotel, which is quite overwhelming when you arrive. The coffee and breakfast were excellent. The staff were warm and generous, especially Sonel, a very kind man on night duty! The room we stayed is was very well appointed. With an extremely comfortable bed and stunning bathroom. We have been to the Oberoi on this holiday and found The Golden Haveli more comfortable. A first we felt downgraded not being in the Dharampura, but we actually preferred the Golden Haveli as it was just as historical but even more peaceful.

Disliked: The litter in the surrounding streets. We were sent a bogus link saying we haven’t paid who he looked genuine. I think the hotel should warn us of such scams dangers in their comms.

Liked: We loved the location, having to walk into the hotel through laneways; we loved the decor; we loved the building; we loved our room; we loved the rooftop & watching sunset & neighborhood kids kite flying; the staff were quietly attentive & appeared to love feeding us special breakfast treats; the restaurant was gorgeous and the food was delicious. The free room snacks were great. An absolutely great place to stay in Delhi.

Disliked: There is really nothing that we didn’t like. Just one small critique on bathroom toiletries. For the price paid we expect to have adequate & frankly, elevated toiletries provided for two people on a daily basis. It was disappointing to find only one small vial of body wash & shampoo on arrival & only one re supplied daily & only one toothbrush! The TV is not needed. It detracts from the ambiance & experience of the room.

Liked: Friendly and very helpful staff

Disliked: Main place was not available, we stayed in Golden Haveli. Also great, but 50m walk away from main place

Liked: Position and rooms were great. Food was also good. Staff were very helpful ordering taxi and looking after us
