Hilton Garden Inn Albuquerque Downtown

Liked: The rooms were clean Breakfast was good. The staff were very polite and helpful

Liked: Staff at the desk were very helpful with directions. Friendly security guard lent me his umbrella when I had to run out to my car to grab something during a downpour. Had secured parking garage. Room was spacious and clean, as were common areas.

Disliked: Located in "Albuquerque downtown", but there really isn't anything to see or do in the area.

Liked: Very comfortable bed, and room was very nice.

Disliked: The thing that ruined our stay was while we were checking out, the manager tried to hang an additional $12 parking charge to the couple in front of us, then she tried to do the same thing to us. Neither the couple in front of us parked in their garage, nor did we. When we booked our room, we were given the cost of of our stay. It plainly read, "All charges and fees included. Even if we could have parked in their garage, we shouldn't have had to pay extra for it. When we checked in the night of our stay, nothing was said about where we could park, and nothing was said about the the $12 charge if we had parked there.

Liked: Very clean, the staff was great easy to find easy parking

Liked: The property was clean, the staff was friendly, the hotel was beautiful.

Disliked: The pet fee was $75 which is steep. Most places only charge $15 - $25. The woman at the front desk asked me if I needed a parking pass but never mentioned it would cost an additional $12. Our $111 booking ended up costing us over $210 with all the fees that weren’t mentioned in the booking.

Liked: Very clean and furnished well

Disliked: Parking is horrible.

Liked: Location was convenient to the train station.

Liked: Convenient to where we wanted to be. Priced right. Fairly new. Beds were comfy.

Disliked: All but one door to the property was locked from the inside as well as the outside. The door that did open was an electric door with a sensor to open and close. This is a fire and safety hazard. I understand the need for security, but doors should be locked to prevent people coming in, but never people going out. In the event there was a fire or other emergency, there is only one exit for the hotel. This is illegal as well as unsafe. If the electric goes out, the one door will not open. No one will be able to get. Please change this policy.
