Holiday Inn Hamburg Berliner Tor By IHG

Liked: Room size, lobby, conference room.

Disliked: Wait time for each and every thing, be it check in, restaurant, room service/ cleaning.

Liked: The hotel chocolate fondant best I ever tasted

Liked: Great value for money

Liked: The stuff is polite and friendly, the hotel is clean and well maintained, the reception hall is wide and spacious, they also offered free limonade that was very nice! The room was clean and comfortable.

Disliked: The hotel itself is beautiful, but not the location! To get there from Central Station by walking is just like a horror movie, you have to meet on your way: junkies, homeless, criminals of all kinds, getto streets...plus weerd abnormal and really long way construction where you have to pass on the same level as heavy trucks, passing in 2 cm next to you, it feels like a real quest and horror movie. Sure homeless people, criminals and unsafe streets is the normal reality for Hamburg, but I was deeply shocked, especially to see that police does nothing and try to avoid such places. I saw people really felt unhappy and protected in the city. Germany is going to it's end.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful

Liked: Very good value for the price, comfortable rooms

Disliked: Very old, stains and mold are in almost every room. Air conditioning system is pretty old and management is unprofessional and rude.

Liked: We had an excellent time; the rooms were really comfortable, and the staff were amazing
