Hollywood Beach Hotels

The hotel consists of multiple properties located within a few blocks. We stayed in the Seagull, which is located where the hotel office is situated on Oklahoma Ave. and N. Ocean Dr. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, and the hotel provides a kitchen box of utensils at no charge. The various pools were lovely, clean and pleasant with nice loungers and grills for bbq. Breakfast was included at a central location, though the coffee was not great. The breakfast consisted of rolls, bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, cereals (unfortunately, all sweetened), fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and american cheese slices, so fairly varied choices, but no hot food. My only criticisms of the facility is that during king tide periods, the street around the hotel became flooded from backup of seawater through sewers,and it was difficult to get to and from the hotel without walking through substantial water. That is not the hotel's fault, though, but is just a reality of the topography of the barrier island. The other criticism is that some properties can have rather noisy guests and the hotel does nothing to prevent this, even when complaints are raised. Specifically, a neighboring room blasted loud music literally all night long. The hotel desk also pipes loud music through an outdoor speaker and sometimes leaves it on till well after midnight. This made sleeping sometimes difficult. Lastly, our tv used an internet based system, and the signal buffered frequently, rendering it useless at times. And the wi-fi in our room was quite slow and erratic.

Liked: It was clean and really good size and location.

Disliked: The Window blind by the door wouldn't come down, the door would unlock so I Jason to run back to the Front Desk in a storm and get the employee to come with a new key and he has to push the door open because the frame was not good and it got stuck every time we had to come outside

Prepaid for the room. I knew I would have to pay onsite for parking but was surprised with an 18 dollar a night " service fee" that was listed neither on this site, not in any emails I received. I'm sure they'll say it's some place. Then a 100 dollar security fee, which they refund after checkout but it seems dodgy anyhow. The mattress wasn't great and the room could use an update but the pillows and blankets were nice, shower old but very good functionally. AC couldn't quite keep up but it did the job basically. I got a good rate and overall was pleased. I will stay again. It surely was better than many places on the broadwalk and the prices are very good.

The most dirty hotel I've ever experienced full of bed bugs, cocroaches & lizards in the room, theives they didn't return the safety deposit $100. The hotel is 1915 North Ocean drive but the rooms are located 2 orc3 streets far from the reception, no service, no cleanliness, no communication, front office are not helpfull at all & they close at night, no safty, rude staff. This Hotel is a horrible experience. Thieves don't be manupliated with the location nothing is true no vibes just insects & charges. Breakfast in another street poor & dirty food servered with a dirty lady welcoming guests.

Don’t trust. They expect way more money than presented.
