Great Location, But the Hotel Needs a Serious Update The location is definitely a 10/10. It is one of the hotel’s biggest advantages, and the hallways leading to the rooms are lovely. However, I honestly feel that the hotel is in need of a serious update. While the reception area looks rather dated, some of the rooms are even more disappointing. The furniture appears outdated, making certain rooms feel a little sad and tired, and some also have rather poor views. Thankfully, I had the pleasure of meeting Hugo at the reception, who was extremely helpful and accommodating. He managed to arrange another room for us in the same category, but it was significantly nicer than the first one we were given. I really appreciated his effort, as the difference between the two rooms was quite noticeable. We also experienced some maintenance issues, particularly with a clogged bathroom sink and bathtub. Although we reported these to reception, it took another day and a further reminder before they were properly addressed. In the end, things worked out well. Once we moved to the better room and the maintenance issues were resolved, our stay became much more pleasant. I would say my overall satisfaction was around 90% by the end of our stay. My advice to future guests: make sure you check your room carefully and don’t hesitate to ask for another one if you’re not happy. There is definitely potential here, but with updated furnishings, better room maintenance and a refreshed reception area, this hotel could be so much better. We got a good price for a Privilege Room on floor 6 with a balcony overlooking the park in mid-October. The view is stunning, as is the location. The staff were very welcoming and the room superb.

I have stayed at countless hotels and this one felt like it was falling apart. Room service on multiple occasions left puddles of water on the floor of our bathroom where one day is also leaked into the hallway and my husband slipped and almost fell. I advised reception of the issue but unfortunately the issue did not get resolved as it occured again. I would never recommend this hotel.

Liked: Perfect location, friendly staff and wonderful roof top bar and restaurant. we were a group of girlfriends traveling together. The front desk assisted us with a reservation we needed revised at a local restaurant.

Disliked: Nothing. Perhaps the leak in the lobby and slow elevators if i needed to think of something.

Disliked: The room smelt, was suppose to have mountain view.. got back alley staircase. Pool closes at 5.. which was stated. The key didn’t work 5 times had to go back front desks each time. We were to and paid for 2 nights but left after one we didn’t like it all.

Liked: Room was spacious and comfortable; view was amazing, breakfast is excellent, location is perfect. It is near Place Massina, across from Old Town, right near Galleries Lafayette, and in the same block as a fabulous Haute Couture fabric shop (Wonderland Fabrics). Staff are lovely. View from roof is gorgeous. Window in the room opens. Yay! AC worked well.

Disliked: The food at the rooftop fancy restaurant. The lamb was very tough with tendons running through the meat. (Lamb Skewers)

I normally would not leave a comment but this is a case of exception. The below are why I would not recommend this location: 1. There is a used toothpick in the trash when I first checked in. 2. Unpleasant smell in the room. 3. Several mosquitoes in the room, I did not open the window. 4. My room card didn’t work to open the door on the second day. When I told the staff, he didn’t care to explain. 5. I can hear others talking, showering or even dry blowing their hairs in the room. 6. The bed is not made well and the bedsheet and dulvet sheet look super old. 7. The room WiFi did not work. When I asked the reception, they said just use the lobby WiFi and did not explain why the sign placed in the reception said there are two WiFi, room and lobby. I love the location as it’s convenient but this could not convince me to stay here again as the staff cannot care less with my comments.
