“Mom & Daughter trip -”

Upon arrival in our room, there was an awful smell ( musty ). I immediately opened the 2 windows and left them open the entire stay and that fixed the problem for me. It was October so weather was perfect for open windows. The shower / tub combo would be impossible for someone elderly to get into. Very tall sides of the tub. Shower pressure and water temperature were great. Bed slept very well, firm but good. Another traveler mentioned that the comforter was old … yes, it is very old. We just took it off the bed completely, it wasn’t needed anyway. There is a mini fridge with some drinks in the room, they are not free… but in a pinch I was thrilled to have access to them. The breakfast was fantastic, compared to most European breakfast that are hotel provided. Loved the coffee machine & fresh fruit. Even mimosa were included on the breakfast menu, self serve! All in all it was a solid choice, no surprise fees…etc.

“Hotel management told entire staff to lie to me about exact nature of transfer service from airport”

Disliked: The hotel said via Booking.com message that they could arrange water taxi directly to hotel. All persons involved lied about to me about this, telling me that yes, water taxi (for transfer from airport to hotel) could drop me off canal side at hotel directly (transfer company, car driver, taxi driver, hotel desk clerk and porters all said that could be done), which is the service I paid for. However, turns out that water taxis NEVER provide drop offs directly at hotel. The hotel owes me a refund
