Liked: The hotel is beautifully located right in the center of Sinaia resort, next to the promenade area, with many restaurants and nice outdoor eating facilities and it offers an exceptional view of Ghica Park.

Disliked: This is our 3rd stay at this hotel and this time the breakfast serving left much to be desired – items that ran out were not replenished, there were no tea cups or water glasses left and one had to personally ask for each missing item, the staff was overwhelmed. I really hope this is an isolated incident and that the service will return to normal, as on our previous visits there was really nothing to complain about.

Liked: The room was located on the second floor and had a wonderful view of the mountains.

Liked: We had a lovely stay at Hotel Caraiman. The reception welcomed us very warmly and professionally, and the entire staff was kind, friendly, and always happy to help. The hotel is rated 3 stars, but in my opinion it deserves 4 — everything is new, beautifully maintained, and exceptionally clean. We loved the beautiful view of the park from our room, as well as the gorgeous restaurant terrace. Overall, a truly pleasant experience and, in my opinion, one of the best places to stay in Sinaia. We would definitely come back!

Disliked: Our stay at Hotel Caraiman, Sinaia/ Romania was extremely disappointing. The hotel itself is elegant, recently renovated, and appears to offer a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the behavior of the owners completely overshadowed those positive aspects. We stayed for one night and decided to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant. There is also an outdoor terrace overlooking the park, with ashtrays placed on the tables for guests who wish to dine and smoke. Smoking on the terrace is perfectly understandable and appropriate. However, during our dinner, a group of approximately six to eight people seated inside the restaurant began smoking cigarettes. Smoking inside the restaurant is prohibited by Romanian law, as well as by the hotel's own policies. The terrace is only a few steps away, separated by large glass windows, making it very easy for anyone wishing to smoke to do so outside. We informed the waitress about the situation. She approached the group twice, but each time returned and told us that “they were allowed to smoke because they were the owners of the hotel”. She also mentioned that this was not the first time this had happened and that there had been many previous complaints from guests. I suffer from mild emphysema, so exposure to cigarette smoke is not simply unpleasant—it is a health issue. Because of the smoke, we were forced to leave our dinner unfinished, take our drinks to our room, and end what should have been an enjoyable evening. What disappointed us most was not only the smoking itself, but the apparent double standard. Hotel rules and the law should apply equally to everyone, including the owners. It is difficult to understand why guests are expected to follow the rules while those who own the establishment choose to ignore them. This experience left us with a very negative impression. It is unfortunate because the hotel has many positive qualities, but respect for guests, their health, and the law should never be...

Liked: Lovely old hotel built before the Communist era. It is placed in a quaint area of Sinaia, surrounded by a huge park. Breakfast is very rich and offers a great variety. The interior decorations are also very charming. Would go back there any time

Liked: Very premium property with the best location in town.

Disliked: The reception women in afternoon / evening was incredibly cold even though all was fine. No response to questions. Seemed put off by our being there. Perhaps hates Americans or My wife suggested she may have had a death in family. The morning staff was ok.
