Super mooi oud hotel, wat heel mooi verbouwd is. Fijn bed in prima kamer. Wel wat veel geluid van apparaten op het dak als je het raam open wil laten. Fijne ruime badkamer.

“A quick stay in Groningen”

Liked: - close to centre of the city and located on the canal, close to lots of restaurants and stores - comfortable bed -friendly and helpful staff (they bright a fan and portable AC unit)

Disliked: - the AC didn’t work in our room and staff were not able to reset the settings - the mini fridge was broken and didn’t cool anything - there was no safe as advertised - the windows were old and did not open in the bathroom - no parking on site, but public parkade was close by that offered a discount for the hotel - as there were numerous events happening in Groningen the weekend we stayed, the price was quite high compared to other places we stayed throughout Europe

Liked: Excellent location - centrally located and near shops and restaurants. 20 min walk from main train station. The staff were a highlight of the stay! So very welcoming and kind! Plus a delicious breakfast and comfortable room!

“Exceptional”

Liked: Our first-floor room was wonderful with huge windows bringing in lots of light. The bed was very comfortable, excellent mattress and the bathroom was spacious and super clean. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I would recommend eating in the Souterrain 1634, which is in the basement and has the most wonderful flexetarian food! The whole stay was exceptional.
