“Great location, mixed stay”
The location is the clear highlight, with excellent walkability and reliable Wi-Fi. The property was generally clean but could be improved, as sleep quality and amenities were disappointing. Facilities and staff were acceptable rather than memorable. The cleaning staff is not properly trained and is loud in the hallways. The front reception staff was polite on the surface but felt a bit snide, lacking genuine friendliness. Though the other staff members are warm and welcoming, the overall experience felt underwhelming for the price, making the value for money a concern.

“Lovely hotel with lovely staff and lovely lounge service”
Liked: The bed was very comfortable, and you can choose from different types of pillows. If you stay in a suite, you also receive a welcome fruit basket, a slice of opera cake and a bottle of sparkling water, which was a lovely touch. Another perk of the suite is complimentary TWG tea and coffee (even coconut coffee – yum!) in the lounge throughout the day, as well as unlimited high-quality evening drinks and appetisers. The bath was also large enough for my 6ft 2in son to relax in comfortably.
Disliked: Room 214 has a connecting door to Room 215, which unfortunately provides virtually no sound insulation. I could hear the guest in Room 215 unbuckling his belt and undoing his zip. On our first night, the guests kept us awake until after 2am with singing, talking and laughing. The following night, the noise continued until around 11pm, and on the third night, until around 10pm. Eventually, we found ourselves making noise whenever they did, which made our neighbours realise just how little sound insulation there was. If you are an Accor member - do note you will not get points if you book through booking.com. Having said that the booking.com price was very reasonable which made up for the loss of points.

“The worst service in whole asia”
Disliked: The worst staff I have ever seen!!!!! 90% of rooms are overlooking inner courtyard!!! That is awful. So be careful not to get trapped by good reviews as I did. STAFF IS EVERYTHING BUT HELPFUL.. they required 1 room extra price just for changing the room with the view, as I am claustrophobic. I wrote in my special requests that I would cancel if there would not be the view. But they just blamed the reservation staff and that was it…

“Excellent”
Liked: Tucked into a nice and relatively quiet corner while close to the Old Quarter enough with many places within walkable distance. And the staff was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also very good.

“Calm in th center of the city”
Liked: Beautiful property in a great location. A nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Buffet breakfast was a great start to a busy day.

“Exceptional”
This hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing and dining near Hoan Kiem Lake. There is a casino located downstairs, separate from the hotel entrance, which offers a $130 bonus just for registration, and you can enjoy free alcohol and meals.
