“Overpriced, mean, mediocre.”
Liked: The joinery was good... double glazed windows kept out the noise from the street but had to be closed to do that work. The decorative elements in the room were OK. The bed was excellent... correct firmness, lots of threads in the sheets and the pillows were lovely.
Disliked: No cupboard to hang or store your clothes, no safe, no fridge, no jug for tea/coffee, no walk in shower... I slipped and fell on day two getting in to the rather high bath/shower, and the aftermarket shower addition into the bath is not a good solution... the water sprays everywhere, it's cheap hardware; no space... the room was tiny, and I had paid for an upgrade, a shelf above the toilet had been removed because the bathroom was so tiny it took up necessary space. Having no jug to make a warming cup of tea in the evening or first thing in the morning in an era when most places provide a coffee machine was the worst. Mean spirited and shows no understanding of what matters to guests. The location was good. The bed was great... it had to be as a queen size bed took up about 90% of the space in the room

“Nice location!”
Liked: The Hotel is in a great location. Several walkable plazas are nearby. The tram and train station is very accessible. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Disliked: The tub was a bit awkward. It would be nice to have complimentary coffee in the morning. And an in room small fridge would be a nice addition to the rooms.

“Great place to stay by Perache Station.”
Don’t be dissuaded by the negative reviews. It’s just Americans (I am one) not understanding what 2 and 3 star hotels really are. The hotel is cute. There are some spots of wear but the the rooms have been more recently updated. My bed (room 8) is pretty good by American standards. It’s medium-firm. There are four pillows which is rare. The staff here are exceptional though. Particularly Cassidy, she’s a delight and clearly takes her profession seriously. I have not eaten breakfast so I can’t review that but the restaurant looks nice. It’s 5 minutes walk from Perache train station, which is where the direct train departs to Charles de Gaulle Aiport in Paris. It’s about 15-20 by metro from the other train stations. There’s some great food, boutiques and a laundromat all close by but the old town and city center are about a 30 minute walk. It’s a really pleasant walk though and all flat. Just a few blocks in either direction to the rivers.
