Hotel Duchesse Anne

Liked: Location was within walking distance to our final destination

Disliked: Very over priced for the small old rooms. Staff did not mention the hidden elevators. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Paid 7 euros each for a terrible continental breakfast.

Liked: The room was clean

Disliked: In my opinion the stairs were dangerous, although there was a lift, it opens directly to the stairs, if u have poor balance, high risk of falling...

Liked: Everything okay

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The staff was friendly.

Disliked: There is no available parking near the hotel. The room was very small. The bathroom door would not close. The bed was not comfortable.

Liked: I could leave my luggage earlier and use the microwave of the kitchen. Also the location

Disliked: Staff was not cooperative at all, and they tried to steal money from me. When I booked the hotel, the site crashed and had accidentally booked me for two rooms. When I explained this to the person at the front desk, they told me I would have to coordinate with the manager who for some reason was unreachable during the entirety of my 4 day stay, but somehow was reachable enough to decline a refund. I was most certainly not going to pay for 2 rooms when I only requested one, and when it was their fault their site wasn’t working properly. They did not want to reimburse me, so I escalated the affair to booking.com and my bank in order to get refunded (which ended up happening). Overall did not have a good experience with this hotel, which is really a shame since I tried to handle matters in the most civil way possible. But I will not be stolen from and especially not from dishonest people! I recommend staying anywhere else in Lourdes so you don’t deal with inconveniences like these while you’re traveling, because I’m sure I’m not the only person this has happened to.
