Hotel Emion Kyoto

Liked: The onsen was amazing! Used it everyday. Was quiet. Rooms large for Japanese standard, very comfortable. Good location, lots of nice restaurants in walking distance and in bottom of hotel. Right next to train station. Really large Fish market with viewing area next to hotel - you can watch the auctions from 5am. Roof top excellent to chill out on and watch sunset.

It was my first time visiting Japan and this was my first booked hotel of the trip. The staff was very welcoming and friendly! if you don't speak Japanese its okay because all the staff speak relatively good English. Besides the great service, the rooms are pretty good and clean. Depending on which floor you stay at, you also get an amazing view of Kyoto!

Staff are very nice and helpful. Location is great. There was a discount ticket for the bus that wa great. We had great time in Kyoto. Thanks a lot.

The staff were extremely helpful from the moment we walked into the hotel and were very accomodating even though we spoke english. The location is convenient, it is surrounded by restaurants, and it is walking distance from the local train station. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The room was spacious and clean, and I liked the facilities and the large public bath. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor which was convenient, and it was nice to have a convenience store on the first floor. However, the public bath isn’t very large, so it’s best to avoid peak times. When I went during a busy period, there were people waiting in line naked for seats to open up, which was awkward. The breakfast area is also crowded, and they operate two separate dining rooms. When I went after 8:00, I had to eat in the auxiliary dining room. One downside is transportation: the train to and from Tokyo Station has longer-than-expected intervals and is quite crowded. I traveled with my parents so we mostly took taxis, but anyone relying on public transport should keep this in mind.

We have been staying in hotel emion for the third time, and looking forward to stay here again soon. The hotel is super well run. It's spotless, very clean, the service is attentive and excellent.. plus there are several good restaurants choice right on the second floor. Location is excellent as well. Highly recommend. This was my first time staying here. The hotel is very close to the station, the room was spacious, and there were experiences to enjoy within the hotel itself, which I liked. The view from the rooftop was beautiful. This time I had a mountain-side room, so I’d like to stay in a room on the other side next time.
