Hotel J Suwon

I have often used this accommodation. My son is in university dormitory in Suwon, so I used this place every time I went to see him. More than ten times. My husband always made the reservation over the phone, and the room condition was fine. However, recently, when I stayed with my son again, I made the reservation on Agoda, but they directed me to a building that I don't usually use, across the street. My request was for a non-smoking room located far from the elevator, but as soon as I entered the room, there was a strong smoke smell and it was right next to the elevator. I had just returned from a trip to Japan, so I was very tired, and in response to the unfriendliness of the staff, I told my husband that we could just sleep and leave without changing the room. When I went to wash up and sleep, the bathroom was very outdated. In the early morning, I woke up startled because water was pouring down from the bathroom ceiling. I was really disappointed by the constant dripping sound of water.

The hygiene condition was truly the worst. I checked the inside of the showerhead, and the limescale and dirt were so severe that it was unpleasant to use. The bed was also in such an old condition that the springs were poking out, causing back pain and preventing me from sleeping properly. When I inquired at the counter, they provided a mattress the next day, but the mattress itself was already severely sagging, so the discomfort was not significantly improved. It seems that basic cleanliness management and bed replacement are absolutely necessary.

출장와서 재밌게 놀다 갑니다

First impression SCARY. Maybe because it was a rundown hotel/motel. Too dark for me. The front light of the entrance is not functioning. The small towels are too old. The first thought that came into my mind was my kids safety. Sorry but this is just my honest opinion. I have been to so many guesthouses/hotels but this one really shook me. I book for 2 nights and 3 days but was not able to even stay for long, we quickly went out to look for another accommodation and luckily found one and transfer on our first day. We found one at hoehyeon namdaemun area and that is where we slept the first night. We just bought a pair of clothes to sleep into since we left our things at J. On the 2nd day we went back to J Hotel to get our luggage and check out. The guy at the reception is too busy talking to someone at the phone on our check in by the way, we waited for about 5-10mins I think. I booked this since this is in suwon area where I wanted to visit hwaseong fortress but unfortunately we were not able to go there also.

The room is spacious and clean, and the location is good. Parking is convenient.

잘쉬었구요 담배 냄새가 많이 나서 아쉬웠어요

The mattress was a spring mattress! As soon as I sat down they made a creaky metal noise and bent in at an angle and hard a rock. The pictures definitely looked better online.
