Hotel La Cantera El Calafate

Liked: Big room ( it was triple), big bed, rustic, very helpful and responsive staff, good view from the lobby

Disliked: The location is a bit far from the center, more than I expected when booking. But fine - it is walkable, some 15 mins uphill.

Liked: Large room, very comfortable bed and nice view to the lake

Disliked: The room is old and need a major upgrade

Liked: I would like to mention the personal service and help I encountered with a request for an extra night and a flight reservation and translation, and the staff, especially the person in charge, did not leave me without help. I would also like to mention the excellent dinners and service in the restaurant.

Liked: Nice location overlooking the water view. Many breakfast offerings to choose from. Very spacious room and bathroom.

Liked: The staff are great. The woman who works the breakfast area is so nice. We were staying there on my wife’s birthday (Christmas Eve) and they gave her a small cake. It was really nice thing to do. Also the people who checked us in and the cleaning staff are nice. This says a lot about whomever runs this property. I also liked how there is a cat on the property who is really sweet. As long as you have a car the location is great. Beware it is about a 5 min drive up a steep hill from town or prob 15 min walk.

Disliked: For us nothing. Just be aware it’s a steep walk or drive from town

Liked: Clean, comfortable bed, nice interior, convenient location

Disliked: There is a limited selection of food at breakfast, but overall, there is enough

Liked: Nice rooms very helpful staff and tasty breakfast
