“I will always come back here. They care about you here.”
Liked: The staff is very polite and helpful. They make all efforts to satisfy the guests. They sell sodas and other items behind the receptionist. 24 hour person on duty. They have coffee in the am ( and sometimes in the afternoon) for the guests in the lobby. The room was clean. Bed slept well. Clean towels. Room cleaned daily. They may ask you if you want this service. Only a shower but water was good and warm. Air conditioner worked well but not on a remote on a wall switch so you must get out of the bed to turn it off. Door knobs should be changed to the electric card or combination to increase safety. The price is very reasonable if you do not need all the bells and whistles.A good place to eat near by and Juarez Metro is in walking distance. This is an older type building.
Disliked: There are 21 steps from the lobby to rooms 50-64. There is no elevator. This may be important for some potential guests. Many people working there who may help with luggage There were no hangars, no closet nor desk in the room. There was a chair. One electric socket only. Tv works well with a remote.

“Above average”
Liked: Nice and clean. The room service was great and very friendly.
Disliked: The receptionists, 2 with very bad attitudes, the only nice one worked in the evening and she wore glasses, she was very welcoming and professional, the other two seemed mad all the time. I will not be staying at this Hotel in the future, with bad attitudes it makes guests fell uncomfortable.

“Reasonable place for a couple of nights downtown Guadalajara”
Liked: Although the hotel is not new, the rooms have been maintained and they are comfortable for what you pay. I liked the fact that my room was clean and quiet. Also, it's just a few blocks from Parque Agua Azul where you can arrive from the airport by public transit.
Disliked: Area where the hotel is has changed dramatically over the years. Doesn't feel very safe if you walk alone at night.

“You get what you pay for.”
Liked: Location is within walking distance to lots of stuff.
Disliked: The ratings for this place are very misleading. We unfortunately reserved a week long stay. Theres mold on the walls in the restroom as well as a roach infestation. Their "clean" sheets were stained and the bed and pillows were awful. It was dirty. The sink was clogged and smelly and had to be taken care of our first night there. The second day there, housecleaning ruined my brand new black clothing by getting clorox all over it. They did pay me back for my damaged clothes, but waited until the very last minute to do so. After our repeated complaints, they switched us to a much cleaner accommodation for the last 2 nights. We were told these better rooms are typically reserved for law enforcement. The toilet paper dispenser and towel rack fell off of the walls. This place was awful.

“The nice staff makes the difference and if I do return it will be because of your staff that cares.”
Liked: The location is good. The staff is really great and very friendly. You can always speak with them if you find a problem and they try to resolve it. I would return to Hotel La Paz.
Disliked: They did not clean the room. One day the staff told me I had only paid for one day. Sometimes a language barrier but even when I paid for 2 more days, no one came to empty the waste baskets or make the bed. I travel a great deal and this area at Hotel La Paz must improve if you want paying customers to continue coming. Also someone was so loud in the hall way in the middle of the night or morning. However, that was not consistent. People were knocking on other people's doors in the middle of the night. Please keep your guest safe. The internet worked well. There are a number of stairs so be aware of that. No stair rail. They sell sodas and other small treats behind the counter. No coffee in room or on the premises. OXXO is about 2 blocks away. In Mexico you can always find a place to eat. (Bring ear plus).
