B&B Hotel LYON Centre Part-dieu Gambetta

Liked: Proximity to the metro station. Close to restaurants. Easy access from the train station.

Disliked: Very loud. The in room heating/cooling was turned off and therefore we had to keep the window open for some air flow as it was quite hot. There were emergency services going across all night which made it difficult to sleep. Unfortunately closing the window did not make a difference in how loud it was. We were also on the 5th floor.

It was very disappointing. I arrived first and waited, but other guests were helped before me and the check-in took a long time because the staff were chatting with someone else. I requested a higher room, but I was given one on the second floor. The bathroom handle was broken and the shower holder was also broken. It made me feel very bad to be given such a damaged room. Last time I came, when my French friend helped me check in, I received a decent room, but the room I got this time during my own check-in was really terrible. It felt like I was being discriminated against because I’m not French. I'm just staying for a day, so I will use it. The good points of this hotel are its location and the facilities are somewhat decent.

All is well. The only i had is the air-conditioning. We got 2 quadruple room since we are 7pax. Unfortunately, it can't be adjusted accordingly to likings and when you are 4 in a room it gets hotter specially after roaming around the city during summer. Hope it can do better.

Overall the hotel is very nice except the road side room is quite noisy with passing vehicles.
