Hotel Manofa has an excellent location, very close to the city centre and the train station, making it easy to explore Amsterdam and return to the hotel whenever you need. The rooms are a little small, but this is quite typical in Amsterdam. We stayed for four nights, and our room was cleaned every day. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall, a great value-for-money hotel with a fantastic location. Highly recommended!

“The worst.”

First, the air conditioning didn’t work, and when I took a shower the water couldn’t drain and started to overflow. I asked staff to clean it, but nobody showed up for an hour. In the end I had to clear a heavy blockage caused by a lot of trash myself before I could shower. It was hot and uncomfortable for sleeping, and around 3 a.m. I woke up feeling something odd and found several bedbugs on the pillow. I jumped up and found multiple bedbugs on the side of the bed and on the sheets. I threw away all the clothes I’d used at the hotel and checked out after 4 a.m. The staff said, “It’s not my problem, report it to the hotel email,” and their response was very poor. I emptied all my luggage outside and checked for bugs. I found one in a bag, but nothing else so far. Still, the potential impact on people is huge — fever, intense itching, and the risk of spreading them to my family when I returned home. I have children. I will report the situation through Agoda, since I booked through them, and I will also report it to my credit card company and pursue compensation. This was supposed to be the high point of a great trip with three friends, but it was extremely disappointing and I feel very angry.
