Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi

A very pleasant stay. Special thanks to the Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi team in Jiaoxi Township for responding to our needs quickly, responsibly, and sincerely — we truly felt respected and cared for. A great hotel does more than provide a comfortable environment; it cares about how guests feel. That level of attentiveness is touching and deserves a perfect score! 10/10

Liked: Couldn't fault anything. Found the layout of the hotel very nice. Exceptional staff, from front desk, concierge, to house keeping, even the buffet staff. All very helpful and friendly. We definitely will visit again.

There was a pool, hot springs, and various activities, so everyone, including the children, had a great time. The buffet had many different options and was delicious. We spent the whole 3-day, 2-night stay at the hotel and were able to really relax. The facilities were kept clean, which was nice. I also appreciated the thoughtfulness of staff who, upon realizing we were Japanese, called someone who spoke Japanese to assist us.

This time I stayed in a Western-style twin room with a view. The room was nice, though the bathroom was a bit small and the space between the bed and the wall was also a little tight. Because I'm large-framed, getting up felt somewhat cramped, so I wouldn't feel comfortable having elderly relatives stay in the twin room due to the stepped layout. Perhaps because it was the low season and it rained, there were very few on-site activities (like DIY workshops), and the Yanbo Garden was under renovation during my stay—what a shame.

Great hotel, fantastic facilities, great for unwind and relaxing. Buffet dinner and breakfast has huge selection of food, which is wonderful.

Facilities, location, meals, friendliness — I give top marks in every category. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but this is one that warms your heart (in a slightly different way than in Japan). There are many performances and activities to join, so couples, families, and friends will all be satisfied. I went on a pre-dawn waterfall hike and the memory is wonderful. It was a bit disappointing that the guide from the hotel hurried us down because he had to go to work; that could be unsettling for older foreign guests. In the end some of us had to descend without a guide. Even so, I want to give this hotel a perfect score!!! I’ll be back soon with my mother.

Stayed again after a long time (this time with our 8-year-old). Everything was the same — the two days we stayed felt comfortable and relaxing. It’s great that the facilities are available until 6 AM the next day; you don’t have to worry about the next day’s schedule and can really unwind. The dinner buffet and breakfast were still above standard. Overall it felt very worth the money!
