Hotel Ruze

Very good and unique hotel.

Very good and unique hotel.

After arriving in Český Krumlov and dragging my suitcase to the hotel, my hands really hurt. The cobblestones were so bumpy that I thought the wheels of my suitcase wouldn’t hold up. However, after arriving, it was great to move around here and there. Český Krumlov is such a small town that it's easy to get around everywhere, and the charm of this accommodation was that I felt overwhelmed thinking about dragging my suitcase to the bus terminal, but luckily there was a shuttle service. It was 100 koruna per person, so for two people, it was 200 koruna, and after paying in cash, we traveled for about 15 minutes in the vehicle. If you plan to stay at this accommodation, keep that in mind. Both cash and card payments are accepted.

There was a person at the reception who could speak a little Japanese, possibly Chinese. The room was in an old building that had been remodeled, but it was quiet, possibly because it was a corner room or because there were no neighboring guests. After checking in, I noticed when I took a shower that there seemed to be hair that clearly wasn’t mine. I don't mind too much about it. I have one request. There was only shampoo in the bathroom, so if possible, I would like there to be body soap as well. After checking out, I called an Uber to go to the train station, but it took a while to get one, so I asked the reception to call a taxi. However, after waiting a bit, I communicated the train departure time, and they offered to send me in the hotel van for 100 crowns. It ended up being cheaper than Uber, which was really helpful! The staff member, who might have been Chinese, was very helpful with various matters. I thought the room might not be that great for the price, but the service was indeed of high-quality hotel standards in the area.

Everything is good

Hotel is unique in design and decor which suits the town atmosphere however some staff could be more friendly, particularly at breakfast. I would rather just have had coffee than deal with an unwelcoming breakfast staff however there was no coffee in the room, only tea. I didn’t try the spa or pool facilities but the terrace has a nice view. Hotel was able to provide a shuttle for a fee to the bus station after I asked three times which was very convenient since the trip by foot with luggage was a bit strenuous with many stairs when I arrived. The staff was prioritizing the large group but helped when they had time. Tv had Netflix but was hard sometimes to put on normal tv. Bathroom windows couldn’t be opened. Overall, I liked the facilities and location with some staff needing further training to be friendly and welcoming.

Great friendly staff. Great location - diagonally across the park with the best vantage point for photography. Great breakfast with lots of options. Highly recommended if youre staying overnight or longer at cesky krumlov

The staff are nice. The location and its view is wonderful. No tooth brush and slippers available.
