“Historical hotel right in the center of downtown”
We stayed here to attend a concert at the Van Buren. The hotel is only a few blocks away, there are several restaurants in the area (even late. Ight post concert options), and it’s close to the street car stops. The hotel itself should be on the historic register. They have done a nice job of preserving furniture and fixtures. Rooms are on the smaller side, but that is what you expect at a hotel from the 1920’s. The manager was very friendly and encouraged us to explore every floor. Definitely worth the visit.

“Wonderful Hotel”
I’ve stayed here several times, both solo on business and with my wife on vacation, and it’s a beautiful little gem in the middle of the city. It’s really got some soul to it, just beautiful. The staff are pleasant, the rooms are impeccably clean, and for being such an old, classic hotel that hasn’t been remodeled in quite some time everything works surprisingly well. It’s within walking distance to all of the cool stuff downtown, including some speakeasies that are as old or older than the hotel, and it’s right between three separate parking garages that are all secure and safe. I highly recommend this hotel, you won’t regret it!

“This was a friendly, historic Hotel in a very walkable area”
Liked: It was the perfect location for us. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and we were able to walk to the music venue we were there for.
Disliked: I I think some people will feel that it needs updating, but we actually liked the old feel. It was Charming

“This place was comfortable and affordable for a small weekend away from home!”
Liked: This was a wonderful place to stay at for the weekend during an event in the city! I loved the room, it was cozy, and perfect! We faced the street and the noise of the city night life put us to sleep right away!
Disliked: Wifi was spotty but not enough to where it was annoying me. If I were to be on a business trip and needed wifi, then I would go to a nearby coffee shop or a public library for that.

“Exceptional”
Liked: Loved how small and comfortable the room was. While on the 3rd floor my husband and I seen suits Marilyn Monroe had stayed in which was awesome.
Disliked: You couldn't control the ac lol

“A super cool place with character and style unlike I have ever experienced.”
Liked: This place is one of a kind. Ive never stayed anywhere even remotely like it. It has atmosphere, it has a vibe, it has a one of a kind feel to it unlike anything you can find anywhere else. It had character and was very very cool.
Disliked: We really would have liked to enjoy the pool on the roof but it was being renovated. I wish we had known prior to arriving so we didnt get our grandson excited to "swim on the roof". However this was of minor importance in the big picture. Great staff, awesome stay.
